Okay, i have to correct myself. I missed the last 2 episodes for some reason, after watching them, FUCK EM!

the last to episodes are bad, the last one is realy realy bad. the writting is terrible. I know understand why Animation slaves didnt wanted to work on this project anymore.

It was bad when they just ended Todd with a stupid joke, but this, this is just to much stupid and agenda.

Uhh the plot point most fitting to our agenda is the big finaly. they broke the whole last season with this shit. also the doggy cuck isnt funny anymore, he did stupid stuff, but he isnt evil, threating him like this is just mean. also the film pitch was not on the nose at all.

Rated autistic, not because I disagree with you (I haven't seen the last season, let alone the new one), but because I read what you said twice and have no fucking clue what you were trying to say.

For some reason, I was convinced the episodes that just came out were the final episodes...

And I was kinda happy seeing Bojack finally being able to break from his cycle and start anew. In particular, the reveal that he in fact dyed his hair and then got it cut by his old stylist to reveal he was greying the whole time really made me feel really warm inside for some reason. Dude is finally not hiding his true self anymore.

Then the next episode starts and suddenly we have these two investigating Sarah Lynn’s death and Hollyhawk ends up meeting with one of the kids Bojack hanged out with in New Mexico.

Fuck me. I can't wait for January.

Admittedly, I’m not too sure about a lot of the side stuff. Mr. Peanut Butter and how he and a Pickles are trying to solve their relationship, Todd’s dad, ect. PC’s episode was fantastic though, which is unsurprising as I feel she’s one of the show’s most relatable and likable characters.

Regardless, so far they’ve nailed Bojack’s segments, and those are the ones that matter the most in the grand scheme of things. Plus it was kinda cool how he ended up helping Diane much like how she helped him the entire series.

Still kinda hoping Wanda makes some form of reappearance. After she left, she was never really mentioned ever again.

The show has always had a political edge. It takes place in one of the most shallowly political places in the world.

Politics was always seen as a joke in the show.

Now if by political you mean Bojack reaping the consequences of his actions, this was a long time coming and literally the whole series has been building up to this. The show's already covered #metoo as well as cancel culture. This is an incident that is purely centered on character progression based on every awful shitty thing Bojack has done over the course of the show, the majority of which coincidentally happening to the women in his life.

He did far worse things than that.
make him suffer for what he did to Sarah Lynn. we see alot of flashbacks, but they dont have much impact on him.

The jabs at how women are treated in Hollywood have always been present in the show. It's just a thing that has always happened. You just kind of shrug and move on. They had a whole episode last season about Hollywood feminism and it didn't drag the overall season down. Yeah, it's leftie shit. But we're here to watch Bojack get better, not listen to girl power crap. Thankfully, it's in the background and not the foreground.

Well now its front and centre.

I guess it's all about tastes and perspective. I've seen the twist coming for a while now so I guess the plot is progressing the way I've wanted it to. The show still ain't over yet. There's another 8 episodes left in January that will determine how everything ends as well as the overall message.

It will not feel right, no matter what they do, it will feel wrong and cheap.

Honestly the times when they do feminist issues (you know the ones they try to force into women's head with the false stats and paranoia), I always ask, "but what about the women who do the same?" but then I remember, this is set in California, especially Hollywoo(d), where there are actually men who get off free on someone of their predatory shit (but you know, emphasized), so there's no doubt women whose actions are ignored, but more frequently.

But honestly, this doesn't bother me as much as other shows doing politics, for some reason. And it does fit how liberal Hollywood is and the people on the outside are. Is that weird?

The attempts they make at addressing politics, especially in some of the cases in this season, as so fucking out there and out of place they break the immersion I have in the storyline. They don't do it very often, thank Christ, but when they do it slightly ruins the mood for me.

Also, in regards to the lesbian director and her planned superhero movie...is the show about to try shitting on old fans of a franchise, ala TLJ, or, god help us, Fembusters?

I caught up with the show.

This isn't a new criticism, it's one I've had from the beginning of the show.

It's hard to reconcile the fact that the writing on Bojack is actually really good, with the fact that almost every single female character is totally fucking unlikable, conspicuously even more so than the (usually *intentionally*) also unlikable male characters... (but you aren't supposed to notice or comment on that.)

Fuck Dianne. Fuck Princess Caroline (though oddly enough she gets slightly better in the new season), fuck the Lesbian director (ironically she gets even worse in the new season). Fuck Hollyhock. (She was terrible from the beginning, and only got worse.) Fuck Diannes (former) rich bitch boss. Fuck Mr. Peanutbutter's rebound girl.

Guess I'm just a sexist though.

Princess Caroline is the only good female character. (Aside from Wanda but she hasn't been on the show since Season 2)

Todd is a Manic Pixie Dream Guy, only on the show because he was responsible for getting half the cast on board (which is why Aaron Paul is an executive producer) and he's DUDE ASEXUAL LMAO
Mr. Peanutbutter is boring, even with his troubles.
Diane I liked for the first season but she became such an insufferable cunt, she actually UNDEVELOPED as a character.
BoJack keeps forgetting who his lessons, which is the point but it's gone on a season too long.

Just marathoned the new episodes. Overall, it's fine. I actually felt a sense of closure for Bojack by the end (even if they are still setting him up to pay for his biggest sin) and I like that he's kind of become the voice of reason on the cast. Princess Carolyn continues to be the strongest supporting character and I've liked her arc so far. I also like Hollyhock but they've done nothing with her since the fourth season; it feels like they had this big revelation for that season but no idea what to do with her or her relationship with Bojack past that. Maybe they've got something in the works for the second half but I don't really think so.

But the rest of the group? I don't really care. Diane used to be great but she's really gone off the rail to the point that even though she's in a better place I don't really feel like she's "earned" a big, happy ending the way Bojack might. She's still largely not been held accountable for any of the fucked up things she did for the sake of her career or her (now very) warped morality. I think they are setting Mr. Peanutbutter up to die but, man, does that feel shitty since so much of his anxiety and, later, depression is due to Diane. And while I think it could be interesting to have Mr. Peanutbutter be Diane's Sara Lynn, I don't believe for a moment that they are going to go that route because that might mean acknowledging that Diane (who at this point is their author avatar) and her worldview are just as toxic and destructive as all the substances Bojack has abused.

Todd is still the worst character. He's had no real change to his character over the course of the show and I'm so sick of the show continuously trying to justify his shitty "free spirit" lifestyle. For a moment, with his episode this season, I thought we'd finally see him have to suffer for his bullshit but nope. Everything continues to just work out for him with no effort or even action on his part.

Sorry for the ramblings. Just wanted to say something since I don't know anyone who's caught up yet.

Wanna know what's funny; I actually thought that this season would be where Bojack and Diane finally get together, but now I actually hope that this show doesn't do that. I don't know why, but that's just my feelings.

Also is it bizarre to anyone else on how they do time in this show? Like in season 5, Penny is currently a senior or something in Oberlin, and she graduated in 2015, so we're either in the future or she skipped a grade.
