Are your ready for a Tactical Wheelchair?

I wonder if Rio and Himari are meta, but I'll pull for them anyways.

Question about summons, does EX like School Asuka buff them? What about field attack buffs? Are bosses resistant to Striker units take full damage from them?

I wonder if Rio and Himari are meta, but I'll pull for them anyways.
Armed Himari sees a lot of use in a lot of the Yellow content raids in the game in JP post release (Binah, Chokmah and Hiero) iirc. She has one of the best (if not the best) Yellow Effectiveness buffs in the game (Kinda strange we don't have an equivalent to S.Hosh for them yet though) and her cost recovery is pretty good (it's the same % as Kisaki iirc) and she has near constant uptime because her EX is 3 cost as a tactical support.

Armed Rio is more niche. She's debatably better than D.Hina (don't hurt me Hinafags KEEP READING) in Torment/Lunatic Red Hiero and Red Kaiten, she even breaks the shield unlike D.Hina because she does 19 hits in her EX. Armed Rio needs Rio (Regular) to really shine though. She's not really a must pull for gameplay AFAIK.

Armed Rio is a must pull for that L2D tho.

EDIT: Also when it comes to fest students it seems like A.Arisu pretty much just mogs and powercreeps A.Hosh's DPS variant, when it comes to Kei she's S.Hosh for blue damage, compared to S.Hosh she doesn't have the added utility of being a tank or cost support, instead she also buffs CRIT and accumulates damage similar to Wakamo, with her accumulation damage proc'ing after her aura buff runs out.

At the end of the day, you want hoverbike Himari. You can probably skip bodysuit rio but either you get her because you want to look at boobs and/or you want two rio.

i want both boobs AND two rios.

B.Aris and Kei at UE30 each turns INS Goz and SRKR a walk in the park. I had a post earlier in this thread that Binah became so easy on JP that TOR is minimum for gold, thanks to Himari.
Don't forget Perorodzilla where A.Arisu truly shines due to her EX being an AoE, with the AoE being a straight line just like regular Arisu. In any case A.Arisu's damage output is fucking ridiculous, it reminds me of how I first tried out my S.Mika on Insane purple Binah just to test out how to run rotations with S.Mika and S.Nagi and I was blown away by the fact that I nuked purple Binah in like 3 or 4 uses of S.Mika's EX. In short, A.Arisu is gonna be to blue armor what S.Mika is to purple armor, unless the boss has some gimmick that you actually have to interact with, like Yesod, then A.Arisu is gonna either enable you to jump up one level of difficulty or she's gonna make a 2/3 team clear turn into a 1 team clear, all by herself.

So there's a summary floating from r/bluearchive subreddit detailing more of the last week's korean only devtalk livestream (the one where Piombo posted those unused alt designs two pages ago). It has some interesting details that got unnoticed because everyone is baffled at Seia's unused bold design or other fancy stuff shown before hand.
The details, in particular:
As it turns out, there were actually plans for the devs to have the story arc to be focused on Red Winter that tied to the Volume EX (remember the seed vault). They didn't say whether its gonna be an event-style story or volume-worthy story arc, and what they said is that it's about projects from a Red Winter graduate. Sadly the entire plan was scrapped after they realized that it might not be a good idea to write something related to Russia (as small as it can be) with the Russian vs Ukraine conflict still happening for what, 4 years?

This left the devs with an empty gap on the main story schedule, and so they decided to fill the gap by rushing the Arius storyline, which leads to Volume 6 that we got. It's also why it felt rushed and the pacing being bad because they had to write this while working on Volume EX part 3 and Wild Hunt 2nd event, but at the very least the Arius arc is over and they can focus on other things.
The event is basically something that Kokosando (one of the main dev, also artist of several students like Seia, Reisa, Kanna, etc) have been begging to be added to the game for the past three years, citing that he really wants to turn all the students into magical girls (and little girls, which is weird thing to say but whatever, guy's really into it).

The writer of the event is a brand new writer who literally started his writing career with Blue Archive. Reisa was picked because she has that hero-like personality + "being magical girl is something she would do", and Suzumi ended up also getting the magical girl treatment since she's on the same club and it would be fitting for her to essentially getting dragged into it and become magical girl as well.

The new writer would spent his waking hour learning about Suzumi from her in-game lines and it apparently affected him badly enough that the devs saw him in real life (the workplace, pretty much) muttering about “In this situation, Suzumi would say this to me,” or “In this situation, she would react this way toward me,” and the devs are thinking "maybe we should sent him to the hospital or some shit, he's losing it".

Aside of that, they planned several bad ends to the event but decided to scrap it for a more happier good end, and the exaggerated story bit where Shimiko speed-reading manga and magical girl material to become magical girl villain is based on devs using the same thing to learn about magical girls themselves. (albeit without the speed reading bit)

And speaking about Shimiko, the design we got on the magical girl event? That's the tamest one they got. Whatever designs they have and scrapped are forever locked inside Nexon's office and only by working there that you can see them.
For Wild Hunt, devs agreed that they're quite hard to introduce, especially during the timing (having to focus on Volume EX + scrapping Red Winter for Arius), but they're happy the fans are enjoying Wild Hunt so far.

Wild Hunt is designed with the atmosphere of a school "closed-off space isolated from the outside world" in mind, and the two events (Occult club/1st Event and Free Trade Cartel/2nd event) are written by two different writers. Character wise:
- Akira is a difficult character to write, according to the 2nd Wild Hunt event writer.
- Eri is written with "Shonen Protagonist" vibe in mind
- For Fuyu, the dev team have the idea of making her acting handsome/prince-like in her event story/voice lines but her memorial lobby is her showing her girly side to Sensei/the player.
- One of the devs team leader is basically happy because Wild Hunt fulfill his desire for short haired students.

For the Red Winter comic market event, there were plans for the memorial lobby for Takane to have the "cheek pinch" feature that's present on some student (like swimsuit Fubuki), but they scrapped it as to preserve Takane's elegant-like aura. The event both works as a way to focus on Yakumo (because Takane already have her character showcase on previous Red Winter comic market event with Momiji/Meru) and also to show to the fans that yes, they take the complain about too many combat in event seriously, so that event has no combat at all.
In short detail:
- The devs decided to make Mika's summer swimsuit to be simpler and bland, citing that logically, Mika post-Eden Treaty would tried to keep herself low profile and so would go to use more simpler outfits.
- The artist behind swimsuit mika also "put a lot of work on her armpits", despite not having poses to show it.
- Hasumi's swimsuit is frankly already risque, but the one we got is actually got a lot more fabric than what was planned.
- We're also supposed to see the reflection of her backside on Hasumi swimsuit's memorial lobby, but that would make it far more risque. (You already got her entire front-side all shown and you asked for her backside too? that's way too much!)

Spoiler: Red Winter and Arius
I'm torn on it. Red Winter never had much main plot relevance, but they are a bit too silly to have anything beyond comedy. Also I get the potential controversy but Red Winter is Commie Russia rather than what we have today. As for Arius, I think what we got was good enough as an epilogue. Anything more and they would have passed the threshold into being whiny and that would have given people flashbacks to Hoshino fiasco.
Magical girl event
The mad lad got what he wished, and his mega autism paid off. Hopefully we'd get more Magical Girls from other less used clubs in the game rather than be a Trinity thing.
Wild Hunt and Red Winter
The first event was average but the second was a lot better, there is an issue that there are already too many schools in the game and you need a large cast to make them feel like they belong to the world.

Sooz's strongest soldier, I kneel.

I can agree that Arius volume would've greatly benefited from having more time put on it. However if the alternative would've been getting it even later... The story even lampshades how Arius has been forgotten/neglected while everything else has been going on. Has that "Subaru and Miyako grab the same discount bento" -image been used anywhere? Pure speculation but since the next PV was already revealed to not have it, could it be that an older draft of Volume 6 has the Arius do an excursion to Schale and then RABBITs have a cameo? I could be completely wrong BTW.

Wild Hunt event number two was actually kind of kino. I remember reading an analysis how back when she's first introduced, Akira is literally a sociopath. Not as in sadist/evil but as someone who's unable to form a genuine connection with another person. Running into Sensei in the 'Alabaster Calling Card' laid the groundwork for Miyo, who was also supported by Sensei, to successfully break through and demonstrate that other people can also appreciate art.

The Archive event with Meru and Momiji is kind of neat. Nothing too special, but it introduces Takane and Yakumo while also giving some spotlight to the manga nerds Meru and Momiji.
The manga LUNA mentioned in this event story is most likely a parody of the real manga NANA, which stopped at volume 21 and has been on hiatus since.

remember that the free rolls comes once per day. You can use your own rolls if you want Rio in bodysuit or Himari in hoverbike, but the rate isn't like the next one with battlesuit Aris/Key because it's bluefes (3% SSR rateup) so you want to heavily invest on that banner rather than Himari/Rio.

... i wasted at least 20 rolls from my pryoxenes (and 20 rolls from my tickets) + free 10 roll for today and still no Rio.
