#Blockout2024 - There has been a growing movement to block out celebrities and influences who have been silencing small voices.

I recall mostly brands being targeted by that, not celebs, but yes. To be compliant you had to black out your social media for a period of time (literally just post a black screen on your socials), for a day or something I don't remember the details but it was dumb.
And much of that was astroturfed by BlackRock. Insufficient enthusiasm led to Larry Fink revoking your Good Boy Points.

So these people are doing this becuase they're not 100% political online?, they do realize that that's just a disaster waiting to happen for these actors knowing how far they have to go to appeal to modern day Hollywood, right? (Also wasn't there a once beloved youtuber who became a full-blown lolcow when he tried to force people that were bigger than him to talk about serious issues they don't want to cover at the start of this year?)

Celebrity worship is one of the worst aspects of human culture. They should just not be allowed to have social media.
Japan (mostly) does it right. Most celebrities don't run their account, don't post anything remotely controversial, and just post generic nice things and PR. They aren't wishing death on millions of people or calling everyone who hates the latest batch of goyslop they shat out Nazihitlers like your average American celebrity.

So basically a bunch of terminally online narcissists with no life experience are demanding celebrities weigh in on issues they know nothing about to validate their own sunk-cost investment into issues they also know nothing about.

There was a time when I would have dreamed of being well known or famous but these days all I can think of is how much it would suck being beholden to hordes of numbskulls.

Huh, their template is just copying the design the AIPAC tracker account uses. Neat. Could make it easier to slip AIPAC tracker tweets into the hashtag feed and wind up with more people knowing about things.
