I'm going to be charitable and assume that won't be permanent. Seems like it's only applied to post-maintenance uploads, though; pics from old posts still save in the correct format.

I'm loving some of the the quality of life changes with the forum. Linking a Kiwi Farms post shows a preview of the post/thread itself, at least when you post on another person's profile. Lastly, there's a date function within the search feature, which is very helpful without having to go through a lot of menus.

Bitching about images being converted to .webp by default will continue until the situation improves
in fact, it is such ass that I will go ahead and say I would rather use the Farms at 5fps than deal with any .webps

I'm surprised tho, as I've seen sites that convert animated gifs to static images because they don't make the distinction

Would it possible for it to not convert random text into emojis, like "The Martian (2008)"?
