Blacked out ads are here

Using hardened Firefox and uBlock Origin I thought I'd be able to avoid the Advertising Menace for the rest of my days.
Now I'm getting this. I can hear the ad just not see it. I hate the antichrist.
Is there any known way of getting around this outside of downloading every video I want to watch? I use both Linux and Windows so preferably something that works for both.

I have Adnauseum but not turned on because I assume the clicking of ads in the background uses bandwidth and slows connection. If it works better than uBlock I'll switch even if there is that trade-off

In the apparent quest of endlessly getting worse, seems YT may have made new BS: playing an audio ad on a channel video listing.

(I got this audio ad playing that advertised something about some internet company.)

Another audio ad: you know how you can play a video in a playlist in a small picture-in-picture, while looking at the playlist?

Just had such a video go black with an audio ad for some other internet thing play. Then a little popup notice pushing Premium.

It doesn't actually load any pages, it just sends an http request, like pinging a site. You can also just set it to strict mode to disable the ad clicking.

I like Adnauseum because it provides junk data to all the advertisers and google. They even had to remove it from the chrome store because of it kek

This hasn't blocked nearly as well for me as ublock origin. IIRC, it uses ublock origin's code so i wonder if its a list issue.

Happened again. When starting a vid, it was juat a black screen with an audio ad. Refreshing fixed that, but it's still annoying. I don't like "normie crap" pushed on me.

Did you update the filter list for uBlock as @Miller suggested? That worked for me.
Filter lists ⇒ Purge all caches ⇒ Update now
