3 seasons of that show? Holy shit, I barely heard anything past the first one. I recall r/television making a thread for season 2’s announcement, but beyond that, nothing. Must be cheap to make episodes for this, and it doesn’t feel like a lot of money is spent on marketing.

I believe climate change is definitely real given the scientific data and humanity is likely a major factor in this global warming, although it can be argued whether we're causing it or merely exacerbating a natural warming period and if so, to what extent.
But I'm not going to trust any statements about climate science from a washed-up children's TV star from the 90's no matter how many times he says "fuck" on cable television.
Dude doesn't even have a degree in a relevant field like climatology or meteorology.
The only Bill Nye has is a degree in engineering and a strong sense of unwarranted self-importance
I may not be a science guy, but I know sensationalist bullshit and attempts at trying to stay relevant when I see it.
The guy from Beakman's World would have never done something as dumb as this.

At this point he's just a dime-a-dozen corporate spokesperson for global warming alarmism, GMO-friendly products, Nintendo products, failed popsci shows for 10 year old kids and/or people who don't read past the 6th grade level, silly conspiracy theories about "spies" in the Republican administration under Trump's term being responsible for "leaks" and "sex junk".
He got chewed out so much over the infamous "sex junk" video that his "Bill Nye saves the world" show was cancelled within the first year - he's also been cricized for promoting outdated, 19th century Malthusian myths and misinformation, or blurring the lines between the social sciences and the "hard/natural" sciences like physics, chemistry, etc.
The fact is that he isn't and has never been a scientist (despite having been caught dishonestly referring to himself as a "scientist" to an ill-informed audience in a few public speeches) - sadly due to a lot of mass ignorance/stupidity, some people (such as Youtuber SSSniperwolf) have referred to him with titles such as "the most important name in science" - as though he's on the level of a Steven Hawking, Fritjof Capra or Robert Lanza, despite him being nothing more than a corporate PR rep who appears on old news channels like CBS and a peddler of outdated popsci nonsense which is redundant to anyone capable of reading and actual book, or anything written above the paltry 6th grade reading level which most popular/mass media is marketed to.

I know the last post was late/a necro but.. Yeah it's really sad. I remember coming home from school before anything good was on Nickelodeon or cartoon network so I'd flip between Disney and public access. If it wasn't pbs kids in the afternoon chances are it was bill nye the science guy.
I still remember how Bill could make stuff that I hated studying in school like rocks, matter, the water cycle, the ecosystem (before all the global warming fearmongering) and that theme. It's up there with the theme to Ed edd n eddy, rugrats, the x files, friends as 90s themes I'll always remember.
Now it's just sad seeing how low he's fallen in 20 odd years.
