Science Bill Nye got roasted to hell on his Reddit AMA yesterday

Following the massive failure of his recent TV series “Bill Nye saves the world”, Bill Nye the Cuck guy yesterday returned to the home of his largest fanbase, Reddit, to try to shill himself back into their positive graces……. probably in preparation for the return of his show for a second season. If you’re just catching up, even Reddit hates Bill now….. which is saying a lot, considering how much they dick rode him the past decade. Let’s just say yesterday’s AMA didn’t go very well.

Bill Naturally refused to answer any of the controversial questions directed at him (which were basically most of the top comments) and ignored them in favor of the non controversial ones he was more comfortably answering. The whole AMA looked like a graveyard, as most of the top-upvoted comments went unanswered, causing some users to call it “The worst AMA ever”. I’m not even nit-picking, here are the top comments ranked by most upvotes:

When Bill Did respond, most of his comments disappeared under mountains of downvotes for being either scientifically ignorant or just really obscure.

I have a funny story to tell.

During my only year in college in 2008, my friend who's also from Abaco told me about this barn dance. Turned out the guy who was hosting it was actually a nephew of Bill Nye. So I'm going around carrying a full bottle of booze, there's like 10 or so people here, and the guy flips out when he asks me where I found that booze. He thought I had found Bill Nye's secret stash and said he knew there was a bag of weed but he couldn't find it.

Nye himself is nothing but a formerly entertaining encyclopedia who doesn't know anything about science other than facts anyone here can look up on Google and has bought into his own bullshit. He doesn't understand the philosophy of science or the scientific method.

This is pretty much the root of Nye's problems: He believed in his own hype and memetic popularity.

He heard a bunch of pseudoscience crap that he personally believed and immediately decided that if he, THE SCIENCE GUY, believed it, it must be true!

I can't say I'm really surprised about this outcome after the disaster that was his Netflix show. I couldn't even get through the first episode of that virtue signalling mess.

Growing up with his show I don't feel bad for calling him a moron over this. The fact he tried to use nostalgia to push his own agenda for the last few years is nothing short of disgusting to me.

Can't wait until the Social Justice ideology becomes another obscure part of 2010s culture that we will look back on and fucking laugh at.

This is so depressing, man. I loved his show as a kid, I watched every episode I could find, he just made geology, planets, biology, all that shit so fun. He was so chill and likeable. One of my science teachers, who was also an amazing awesome person, met him at a big science teacher convention and said he was very nice albeit a little shy. How the mighty have fallen.

as someone one who grew up with alot of edutainment shows, i never watched bill nye the science guy and only remembered the intro of it. even then, i had real vague memories of him. this by no means affects me that much, mostly because i never grew up with him. nonetheless, i can't help but be surprised that this is how he ends up becoming, a poor excuse for degree in engineering.
