Like what is the point of kissing the ass of someone Red Letter Media and a bunch of other obsessive dorks probably know who is? There really hasn't been much going on since the Olsen brothers have had their health problems and the YT docu has come out. It's been Defalco running the show now with Darkforce with varying quality of titles. Not sure what the consensus is if they're upconverts or fully complete. Defalco has created a Go Fund Me to help with Bill's medical bills. It's gone about as well as you could imagine.
FYI: Stephen Biro is the guy who owns Unearthed Films, another DVD/Blu distributor.

I really doubt this fundraiser will get to even $1K. This is what happens when you repeatedly shit on your customers. Something something, Joker posting, you get what you fucking deserve, yadda yadda.
It's safe to say these are the final days of Code Red.

A minute in: Defalco doesn't play wrestling music to hype up his entrance for once. He talks about the fundraiser and presents a silver briefcase (just like the one used in wrestling matches, you know the one's where the briefcase is suspended and they need to use a ladder to grab it) to show Bill's eviction notice.
2 minutes in: Bill stammers, talks about other DVD/Blu companies, reveals he lives with his brother in Seattle and the combined costs of caregivers for the both of them is 7 grand a week. Bill keeps talking over Defalco. The brothers share a bank account.
4 minutes: Defalco talks about showing Bill's decaying legs on a livestream. Defends his actions and says it wasn't exploitive. Claims he was trying to garner Bill some sympathy.
5 minutes in: Bill wants to come back to Los Angeles (Why? Theoretically, you could run a business like this anywhere. The only problem would be maybe getting interviews and commentaries for extras but a lot of companies hire 3rd parties to do that.).
7 minutes in: Defalco says he couldn't live like Bill and his brother and would rather put a bullet in his own head.
8 minutes in: Defalco has given money to Bill to buy a plane ticket but Bill wasn't able to take him up on his offer. Bill starts boomer ranting about kids.
12 minutes in: Bill goes over his living situation: living in a small place with a crooked mattress.
14 minutes in: Defalco is pissed off over the slip cover for the release of Magdalena where the slip cover was botched. Magdalena is a mediocre Exorcist ripoff that's just a softcore flick not unlike an Italian Exorcist ripoff called Malabimba: the Malicious Whore. He warns that the release flopping might spell the end of Dark Force.
17 minutes: Bill say's the cover for Magdalena looks like shit.
18 minutes in: a guy offers $100 to buy "The Fahmer."
23 minutes: someone asks Defalco when they're going to do 4K. Defalco is interested but depends on the movie. I don't think he has anything that would sell enough to warrant a 4K re-release except maybe City of the Living Dead but certainly not with that shit transfer he was peddling. I have no idea if he still owns it or Scorpion. I assume not.
25 minutes: someone asks if they can release the Rock Hudson movie Embryo. Defalco isn't familiar with it and Bill calls it a piece of shit that's rated PG.
32 minutes: Defalco starts hyping up new releases including Fangs. Bill misheard him and thought he said fags. Defalco says that collectors are going to buy Fangs just for the box art and tells how he was collecting this kind of shit since he was a kid. Including buying Super 8 movies when he was 7-8 years old. Those were not cheap back in the day assuming this was the early/mid 70's? A Super 8 copy of the movie (that ran about 30 minutes and looked like shit) would cost about $50-100? Keep in mind that's 1970's money. I get the feeling that Defalco has a rich family.
35 minutes: Someone asks about the flick Fatal Games. This prompts more boomer rants from Bill about kids.
37 minutes: DAH FAHMER is brought up again. Defalco says that if the Go Fund Me isn't successful than Bill will join Dark Force then Defalco flexes for the camera while calling Bill an old man. He then offers to fight the trolls in a wrestling ring.
45: some tech talk: Defalco says you need the camera negative in order to do a 4K release and can't use an IP (interpositive print).
46: Defalco has offered to essentially hire Bill for Dark Force. So, I assume he would take on all of the films Bill owns and Bill would do promos from his wheelchair in the costume? I dunno.

DeFalco has been trying hype up his release on Stingray with a new embossed cover. Check out the quality of this magnificent "work of art."
Even though the Go Fund Me reached a grand total of $395 (with one anon $100 donor a week ago) DeFalco is declaring it was a massive success and can move Bill from Oregon to LA. Essentially, Bill will be DeFalco's employee now and one can assume DeFalco will take over the Code Red catalog. How is he able to afford this luxury? Don't know but I strongly believe DeFalco is from a rich family. No doubt promising his mommy and daddy that the release of Da Fahmer will generate a million dollars in sales.
Just thought this tidbit was interesting. Since Sage acted in DeFalco's Last House on the Left ripoff Chaos and the reason why he signed on despite rarely acting (Sage even turned down reprising his role in his father's Rocky 6 AKA Rocky Balboa) was that he wanted to act in a movie with David Hess. David Hess played Krug in the original Last House on the Left and would have played the racist sheriff in DeFalco's film. But David Hess pulled out due to issues with I presume DeFalco or the movie being an almost scene for scene ripoff of Last House on the Left. Yet, Sage had signed the contract and was locked in. DeFalco wouldn't let him out of the contract and Sage even had to promote it at a con and voiced his displeasure. So it's funny he's trying to frame this like "My buddy, SAGE STALLONE, Rocky Jr. May he rest in peace, really liked this movie." No, he didn't want anything to do with your movie. He was just fanboying over David Hess.

Defalco does his usual wrestling entrance, flexes and shows off his abs (which is important when you want updates from a cult DVD/BLU company).
1:20 Defalco wheels out Bill on a wheelchair in the banana costume.
Defalco proceeds to flex more for the camera. Bill seems at least coherent but is difficult to understand. Defalco tells Bill he's like a brother to him.
4:00 Defalco announces the Dark Force store is open. Defalco claims that Scorpion (a company owned by Bill's brother) performed a coup, a "critical strike", and whisked Bill back to Seattle. Defalco is adamant that Bill stays in L.A. sending a message to Scorpion and threatening to wrestle anyone who tries to steal back Bill.
5:30 DAH FAHMER is brought up again. It sounds like Dark Force owns Code Red now.
Bill rambles throughout the video. I can understand him but he's slurring his words so this is difficult to transcribe.
8:00 more flexing, Deflaco shows his ultimate strength by being able to lift Bill in his wheelchair an inch or so off the ground while screaming "WE WANT DA FAHMER!"
They proceed to take viewer questions. Defalco wants to release Water Power AKA the Enema Bandit (plot is self explanatory I think), and the title Iced (slasher set at a ski resort) is brought up.
12:00 Announcement for a concert movie called Blank Generation is announced. Defalco claims it's going to be a big seller and all the music stores want it. They also announced another Uli Lommel flick The Big Sweat.
15:00 Bill's legs are doing better apparently. At various points in the video, Bill's head slumps down and he speaks in a mumble just below frame of the camera. It sounds like he's about to pass out. I assume Defalco is playing loud music to keep him awake.

More incoherent rambling. Only other thing of note is that Defalco points his finger at the camera saying "We want DA FAHMER, Seattle!" And reaffirms that Bill is staying in L.A. DA FAHMA HAS BEEN RELEASED. A legendary lost exploitation film that finally surfaced on Youtube.
It exists as an ugly as fuck VHS but it's out there. A flash drive containing a VHS rip was sent to a podcast so it was only a matter of time before it got out there. Bill's response to this mounting pressure:
Of course it was uploaded to YT and Bill's brother Walt issued a copyright takedown. But it still got there.

It's funny that Bill was quoted as saying that the combined cost for help for him and Walt was $7K a week. Presumably without Bill the cost would be half but now Walt needs $30K a month.

Scorpion Releasing has finally announced Da Farmah for release:
Took them long enough. In the mean time, Scorpion and Code Red have moved away from releasing cult/horror films and are doing more mainstream-ish titles. Scorpion is releasing the two Fritz the Cat movies and Code Red is doing a bunch of absolutely forgotten movies that I never heard of. It can be assumed that these are "bucket list" movies Bill and Walter wanted to do before they physically can't run their companies any more. This hasn't stopped Bill from repressing some of the horror titles with Kino Lorber.
Edit: Da Farmah is being released next month. Which is insanely fast considering it leaked back in November. So presumably Walt or Bill were just sitting on a completed transfer all this time waiting for... Reasons.

Defalco fucked up really bad and on the day the Russian invasion of the Ukraine happened he declared "war" on Scorpion Releasing for releasing DAH FARHMAH and posted an image of a tank in the middle of a ruined city. The post on Facebook has since been deleted. Not the worst thing he's done and nothing to be cancelled over IMHO but it cost him his relationship with Diabolik DVD who are now no longer going to carry Dark Force titles.
