This isn't a materialist or class analysis at all. Matt's beef here is with abstract concepts like fate and human evil...good luck changing those through the some Jew's doomed political agenda. Realistically there's no solution for his grievances here other than to get religion or at least Good and Orderly Direction.
Ironically I agree that genetic circumstances largely determine your place in life and most proles can't bootstrap out of that reality, but if I tried to explain why using the heritability of IQ by demographic to him he'd flip his shit.

No joke, I honestly do feel bad for these people. They have been so entranced by these utopian fantasies, to the extent that they honestly seem in rebellion to nature and existence itself because it isn't fair. Yes, there is indeed man-made evil in this world and we should fight against it, and yes we should also be willing to fight against the faults in our stars to the extent that we are able. But getting hung up that unfairness exists in the world is simply going to lead you to a life of disappointment. The most you can do is provision the best you can with the cards you have been dealt. Coincidentally, this is perhaps the most orthodox Marxist perspective, as he was against utopian dreaming and more interested in what was possible for the proletariat
In any case, I can guarantee you that none of the people that his heart bleeds for is wallowing in despair about the lack of cosmic justice in the world. They're mainly happy to get a good meal. This kind of shit is 100% a first-world problem.

This tweet in particular strikes me and Gore lost because of Florida, distancing himself from Clinton who was very popular at the time, and was in a close race.
But both Kerry and Hillary lost due to both running on not being the other guy as well as not having an actual message.
Bernie however if he became the nominee would lose due to being extremely far left and praising communist regimes
