EU Berlin power outages after left-wing anarchist attack on power cables - A collective calling itself ‘Volcano Group’ claimed responsibility for the attack near a gas power station

Thousands of Berliners are facing power outages until Thursday after a left-extreme anarchist triggered a bomb attack on power cables in the German capital.

Around 45,000 households and 2,000 firms were left in the dark – and many without heat – on a snowy Saturday night after a collective calling itself ‘Volcano Group’ claimed responsibility for the attack near a gas power station.

The group, also linked to a 2024 attack on the Tesla plant near Berlin, said the latest intervention was an “act of resistance” against the ongoing “greed for energy ... that is sucking dry, burning, maltreating, raping” the planet.

Berlin’s governing mayor Kai Wegner said “protection of critical infrastructure was of the highest priority” and that all was being done “to restore energy as quickly as possible”.

Economics and energy minister Franziska Giffey conceded the repair work was “complex” and, after recent snowfall, “complicated further by the bad weather and ground frost”.

On Sunday morning Berlin’s electricity authority restored power to 7,000 households and 150 firms but, with five high-tension cables damaged, it will be Thursday before normal service is restored.

As well as homes and businesses, the power outage hit traffic lights and the outer arms of the electric S-Bahn suburban rail service, requiring replacement bus services.

In a lengthy letter claiming responsibility, the ‘Volcano Group’ said the attack was a pushback against “our addiction to small devices with “We gobble up the colourful pictures ... and are losing contact with what seems normal to us,” it wrote. “We are fearful of what is happening, burying ourselves deeper into screens.”

German antiterrorism authorities describe the Volcano Group as a left-extremist terrorist group and were studying a note on Sunday considered to be of “credible” authenticity.

Within hours of Saturday’s blackout, emergency centres were set up across the Steglitz and Zehlendorf in town, community and sport halls, run by the local fire brigade, churches and the German Red Cross. Some visitors stayed for an hour, for soup and to charge their smartphones.

“It’s only times like this you realise how dependent you are on your phone,” said Miriam, a mother of two. “We had no mobile data, no maps, couldn’t charge our phones and were really left to our own devices.”

Her husband Matthias said their neighbours were unable to get into their home.

“They have everything in a smart home network so not even the window shutters are working,” he said.

Elderly couple Birgit and Horst visited the Red Cross emergency facility in the Cole Sports Centre to warm up but decided to stay the night.

“I hadn’t thought of doing that but they have camp beds and it was so terribly cold in our house,” said Birgit. “I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life.”

Honestly, I am surprised stuff like this doesn't happen more often, especially with how many brown and leftist terrorists are in the West now. Targeting soft targets for terrorist attacks is not only way easier than conventional targets, but you're also much more likely to get away with it since they usually have minimal security and surveillance. Take out the wastewater facility, and now you have a city with backing up sewage and a rash of waterborne illness. Take out the water treatment facility, and now there's no fresh water in the city. Take out the substation, and now the city no longer has power. These are all way easier, and possibly more deadly, than a truck of peace at a Christmas festival, but thankfully your average terrorist is a retard so it doesn't occur to them to attack anything other than the most obvious targets. A lot of the sabotage wouldn't take anything more than small arms and a few minutes as well; there was a shooting on a couple of Moore County, North Carolina substations that knocked out power for tens of thousands and the guy was never caught. Only one person died from the multi day outage, but imagine if you had 12 substations shot up? 20? Hell, they didn't even catch the guy, so theoretically it could just be one dude with a rifle doing every attack, and the authorities would be functionally worthless to stop him. I wonder how many people without power the government could try to help before it's simply unable to keep up and the bodycount starts to mount.

At a place I used to work, the rail went by every day, oftentimes with dozens upon dozens of gasoline cars hooked up in sequence. It would have been easy to set up an innocuous fire in a Dakota fire hole or with rocket stove right by the tracks, then shoot up the gas rail cars as they went by and light up the train and the railway ties. Given how long it takes for trains to stop, even if they noticed immediately, you'd probably still have a mile or more of rail get torched, not to mention the train stuck on the ruined rails too. I wouldn't do it, obviously, because I am a law-abiding good boy who does not do anything, but theoretically if I was to ever do something naughty in Roblox, that's the idea of how this hypothetical version of myself would approach the situation.

Yeah, me too. A lot these subversive groups running around Europe and even the US are funded by filthy rich people connected to their own governments that these retards think they're actually fighting against. They give them an excuse to suppress their populations further, and they instill fear in the populace. But their handlers won't let them overdo it too much - some the niggercattle might actually get a wake up call they can't afford to ignore if their heat and power goes out for a week in the winter. So all they do is low-level attacks, protests that are incredibly obnoxious but mostly harmless (retards gluing themselves to roads etc.), and semi-random street violence, often against right-wing/nationalist opposition, while the police look the other way.

In my area a few years ago, thousands lost power because a couple methheads stole copper wire from a substation. They were caught, but then a judge let them out without bail.
Yeah, that happens fairly regularly in my country with trains - gypsies and junkies keep stealing railway signaling cables and it disables the whole track for hours until the cable is replaced, and there's no way to secure it. They'll get a couple bucks worth of copper (those cables aren't thick at all) while causing tens or hundreds of thousands in damages.

Here's one from Dec 21, lmao

Have they thought about opening some camps for those that are Gypsies or junkies?

The problem with committing a terrorism is that you will get caught, and the thing you destroyed will be restored within 48 hours. If you're a Leftist, you'll be let go with a slap on the wrist; if you're on the Right, you'll be charged with a hate crime and thrown in jail for life, while Leftist news outlets will call you the next coming of Hitler. That's a huge price to pay for creating an event that will barely hurt your enemies while making your side look like a bunch of unhinged loonies. The Left have rigged the game so that they win - if the Right does nothing, the March Through the Institutions continues. If the Right blows something up, the Leftists have an excuse to crack down on the Right harder than before.

This is what people mean when they say the Collapse is the Cure. The only Right Wing Death Squads that will ever exist are those on farms who pick off Diversity fleeing from the major cities after an economic collapse.

If you look at the wiki page of the Moore County substation attack it has this little interesting sentence:
in Arkansas in 2013, in Utah in 2016, and in Washington and Oregon (dates undisclosed).
So attacks like this do happen but like suicides aren't being widely reported or acknowledged. In Germany, especially around the Berlin area leftists groups are also firebombing and damaging train and internet infrastructure every so often and almost never get caught because these groups operate clandestinely, practice OPSEC (enabled by contacts to a computer/hacker/DIY scene that is heavily leftist and sympathetic to militants) and generally diffuse into a background cloud of taxpayer funded groups, foundations and NGOs the state is using to enforce political orthodoxy and supress dissent.

Also, EV charging stations would be targets to steal copper, and to turn moving batteries into massive firebombs. And with European countries opening up their assholes and letting Chinese crapmobiles flood them, there's no shortage of them to be used as moving firebombs anytime soon.

This might be the first time in recent memory the MSM sources consistently referred to the existence of a far left. Maybe because the claim of credit was too hard to deny and they are careful not to refer to terrorism. But I still will give credit where credit is due and applaud this baby step.

Chinese EVs at this point are just bombs that also occasionally serve as a mode of transportation. I've seen enough chinese lithium batteries decide to suddenly start identifying as a grenade to stay far the fuck away from them.
