This dude is how old? I’m sure he’d be able to at least afford a Fender Mustang, which is far better than an affordable modeling amp should be? If he can afford a Schecter guitar, he should be able to afford some bang for the buck gear.
 
forgot to mention that he can’t sing. He needs to either really work hard to improve or just get a vocalist.

He’s actually pretty good on acoustic guitar in the videos he uploaded from his phone of him playing, but almost all the songs that he wrote seem to sound the same on that part. Or at least half of the ones I’ve listened to.

I know why his tone is worse than Dimebag’s, though. (Dimebag’s got a pass for it because of how amazing his riffs were, though.) The dude isn’t even playing. The distorted guitars are from Guitar Pro, a thing that’s typically not used for making final recordings, but tabbing out and writing down songs so that other people can learn them and have something to listen to side by side so they know they’re getting it right. So the guitars in his stuff are literally but midis. Very professional, Ben!

I've run into that problem with some other guitarists. They aren't aware of how to balance gear to create good tone. They think a $1400 Les Paul is gonna sound phenomenal through a Line 6 Spider half stack and that's just not the case. Guitar isn't really plug-n-play, especially these days with so many options available.
 
I saw this pissbaby pop up on Twitter through the hashtag #endAWD

There was a petition trying to keep him out of major bronycons, but he either harrased the creator enough to get it pulled down, or contacted the website directly to pull it. He was screaming about it on his Twitter

So, if I understand this correctly: A musician, struggling to garner attention, isolates himself from a mainstream audience by attaching himself to My Little Pony. Then causes trouble in the extremely niche fandom he's pigeon-holed himself in.

I'm guessing his Brony stuff isn't connected to his real name, and that he teaches guitar or something for a living. He is 40, though. Maybe he's gone through so many avenues already, Brony music is the only place left.

(And honestly, I somehow feel like identifying himself as a Brony isn't a move that attracts the high-brow music connoisseurs he wants).

I'll give you a hint as to why he's making music in the brony community. He doesn't actually want high brow music connoisseurs, cuz they'd do nothing but tell him how shit his music is. Sure, bronys are doing that as well, but AWD seems like the type of prick that likes to surround himself with people that he sees as beneath/worse then him so he can keep on pretending his shit doesn't stink

In that case he severely underestimated Bronies. I'd wager 90% of the brony fandom is better than him overall.
 
I've been following this guy on Craigslist for about two years. Didn't know there was already a thread about him. Basically I am also a musician and I use CL to find gigs and opportunities (and a good laugh.) This guy posts on a national level and I see his listing updated probably once a month. It's gone from a general list of Butt rock bands he wants to sound like to "I AM A PROFESSIONAL SEE HOW MUCH MONEY I INVEST IN THIS!" Now I am by no means a brony, and do not care about that side of the issue. I just find it bizarre that a 40 year old man actually believes he will become a Rockstar playing what basically equates to dive bar music. I'm surprised nobody has submitted him to Rigsofdad.
