It's in the same place it's always been which is in some level of development hell. I doubt Disney will ever cancel it outright but I'd be surprised if even the first film ends up actually getting a theatrical release.

I'm pretty sure the article was just reporting it's "in the works" in the context of the other stuff Dumb and Dumber are doing, it's not like there's any news about it. And it's still officially "in the works" as far as we can tell, but that can mean everything from actively being worked on to being near-dead.

Yes, but they had to work hard on Seasons 1-4. And then they became utterly lazy and did not give a fuck. This is exactly what happened to Lucas. He struggled through 1-2, got more power in 3, and then made the prequels as lazily as possible with no oversight.

D&D cannot write on their own. I don't even believe they can functionally adapt things anymore because they're lazy faggots who can now coast on Game of Thrones forever. If you expect anything good or decent out of them, you're insane. D&D are George Lucas without the accomplishment of creating a great IP, ruining it instead.
