I came across this video which showcases Ninja (the Fortnite streamer) stating that he goes out of his way to make sure he's never alone in a room with a (stranger) woman. Due to this, he has received some heavy criticism, accusing him of being deeply misogynistic, alongside arguments that are in essence pure straw-mans.

It does display the levels of hypocrisy and capricious double-standards that prove that no matter what someone does, some people will take it as sexist, misogynistic, and patriarchal.

You're invited to discuss this in a respectful manner, if you cannot, refrain.

These are some things that I personally believe should be taken into account first: whether you like Ninja or not (or in this case Asmongold, the one providing the reaction video and forming an opinion) the topic here is about Ninja's statement and its reception, it's irrelevant if you don't like his Fortnite streams.

Now a question I present you as well, if you were a streamer with his popularity & of his caliber, do you see reasonable the assertion that some people may falsely accuse you of an immoral/criminal act, for their own personal reasons (such as revenge, hatred, jealousy, attention, etc)? If so, would you not see reasonable as well to take measures in order to prevent it, specially when not doing so is unnecessarily negligent?

Finally, I was reminded (by the YouTube comments) of that purposefully designed (for confrontation) thought experiment about the choice of a bear and a man in a forest, where the woman's argument for choosing the bear was to avoid potential criminals. Similarly here, Ninja's choice is to avoid potential criminals/false allegations at no heavy cost, yet he's being accused of sexism.

I feel like this is twitter bullshit warping people's perspective of what's normal. Ninja (if we take what he says as his actual feelings and how he acts, and I have no reason not to) has seen so many men get cancelled or made fun of or get accused of heinous things on twitter that he is going overboard to make absolutely certain that he's never put in any kind of position where someone might say something about him regarding how he interacts with women. I imagine from what he's said that he's actually afraid of being in a room alone with a woman, not because he's loyal, but because he's terrified of a sexual misconduct accusation.

As to your question, if my above paragraph doesn't answer it, I think what Ninja is doing is absolutely the correct and safe move. He's mega famous in online spheres, and dingleberries will do whatever they can to attach themselves to fame for their 15 minutes, and we know people aren't above flinging false accusations for that purpose.

this is just a baseline requirement for any degree of celebrity IMO. when you enter the realm of becoming a parasocial object, it's inevitable that as people use you to fill as a substitute for friend/role model/etc, they will also use you to vent things like self-hatred, loneliness, and ressentiment. this is why film celebrities usually have expensive agents that act as full-spectrum tard wranglers to manage their entire public face and keep it as sanitized as possible. since your business is staked on maintaining a positive aura to attract and keep an audience, celebrities are very vulnerable to image poisoning from dickheads of every stripe - the tabloid press is a classic example. internet celebrities are especially vulnerable since they exist entirely inside this cursed realm and so have very little protection from the gale force winds of online hate brigading and cancel culture. thus, it is not just reasonable for all celebrities to take preemptive measures against this kind of thing, it is absolutely essential.

this non-controversy is the perfect case-in-point. by simply trying to avoid controversy, this dude stepped right into another one. it's because the moral scolds online who are demanding a strict standard of behavior from public figures aren't really concerned with the meeting of those standards, they're simply looking for a fight. this type of person will always move the goal posts in accordance with whatever their stupid opinions are, whether or not they decide they like somebody, etc.. they should never be taken at face value or assumed to be serious. these cries of misogyny are wholly disingenuous; terms like this exist almost exclusively to launder personal grievance and bloodlust these days. the only proper response is to tell these people to fuck off and die. however, if you're a celebrity, it puts you in a difficult position, as such behavior is poisonous to your image unless you wish to politicize yourself. the online scolds know this and they are deliberately taking advantage of their ability to force their target to respond to baseless acrimony and accusations of poor moral character.

avoiding one on one encounters with unknown women isn't because he fears allegations, that's a cover. he avoids them because he knows he is a RAPIST MALE with INSATIABLE URGES and simply wouldn't be able to control himself; the allegations would be true. Any man who does/says this is one of these rapefiends, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

If they get caught by the kafka trap that just means they were always guilty.

since when are you in control?

Women nowadays have too many freedoms and decisions they can make to ruin someones life. I am staying as far away from a woman as possible because they never know what they want or can't calculate how badly they fuck someone up. Feminism is a mistake, Saudi Arabia may be a dogshithole but at least they know how to keep women in control.

Ninja in this context sounds more like an overreaction to or from a jealous wife than his own decision.
Then again, Ninja is trying very hard to be a popular influencer who isn't a kid diddler and at least trying to build his brand on being as safe and kid-friendly as possible, which is about as rare as it gets. So in other words, can't wait to see his name in the Chris Tyson Discord leaks.

Standard suggestion when topics like these arise.

You can do what you want.
The idea of a woman tackling and riding Ninja until he bursts to get his baby is a bit ridiculous
I'll take that as a joke, the major concern would seem to be false allegations.

In this case I don't see it as regrettable, as it exposes the absolute retardation from actual sexists, such as those women.

This is standard practice now, ever since #metoo. Men with standing cannot safely engage with women in the workplace. This means no private meetings and absolutely no effort at grooming junior female employees for higher career position in the company. Your female subordinates must for your own career safety be faceless suits that you don't care about. These have become the unbreakable rules for men in management positions in the work place. Even worse, men looking to move up in their careers will be judged by their superiors over how detached they are from socialization with female subordinates. The less attachment the better. If you are literally gay and suck dick for cock, you are perfect. Because not only will you not catch the company a sex lawsuit, but you also hit a diversity quota. And the gay man can tell the bitches on behalf of senior management to work or fuck off, because everyone knows the women have no power in that relationship dynamic.

He is 100 percent right in avoiding being alone with any women who are not related or known to him. Remember Vinny from Vinesauce? Women are way too empowered to ruin men. Besides, why is it expected of him to be comfortable being alone with strangers in general? Sorry ladies. It's his choice in what he's comfortable with, and if being alone in a room with you isn't one of them then accept it. If you can't, reflect on that.

If everyone is referring to the man/bear thing, I'm assuming this is the second time the issue has come up.

I recall years ago (looked it up, it was in 2018) Ninja had similar controversy because he said he didn't want to stream with women because he didn't want there to be weird drama/rumors/accusations floating around especially when he's already married.

He's right, particularly if you're a male with influence online that's the wise choice, not to mention idk what you'd even gain by streaming with women. All most e-girl streamers are going to do is hang around and try to sap your viewership while bringing very little of substance to the table.

I'm sure the notion of stoicism and self control is very upsetting to the degenerate internet masses however.

Most rich and famous dudes that aren't retards are doing shit like this.
A good example was Justin Bieber before he settled down.
If any girl was interested in him, his security would take her ID and scan it, then have her sign like 5 different documents that said that she willingly takes part in this hook up and allows Bieber to get physical with her before he would spend any time alone with her.
This is normal and even recommended behavior.
You should be at least a little bit paranoid when you're a wealthy celeb.

This approach to socialization is actually pretty normal in Catholic circles. I have a friend who's married and despite the fact that I've never had any feelings for her beyond friendship we don't hang out together alone. As we say in the Act of Contrition, "and to avoid the near occasion of sin", this approach to socialization not only avoids the near occasion of sin, it also avoids the appearance of scandal. In other words, if a married woman kept regularly seeing an unmarried man alone, even if nothing sinful occurred, the fact that it would reasonably appear sinful to others means there is a degree of responsibility to avoid such situations. While you could argue that other adults should mind their own business and that gossip is also a sin, and you'd be right, the same cannot be said for children who have not reached the age of reason.

I see it as a good cover your ass measure but it’s also a good “check” on women. It’s all meant to keep everything above board, but it is also one of the few ways to keep women in line anymore. They act out today because there doesn’t seem to be any possible mechanism to discourage bad behavior.

If you're older than 18 this is an embarrassing post
