Bash.org was a cornerstone of the old internet. It was a collection of silly quotes from IRC channels everywhere, many of which dated back to the 90s. It was rarely ever updated in the 2010s, but now, the URL no longer resolves.

A while back I stumbled into a Bogleheads ("stay the course" index investing types, pre-FI/RE movement) thread spanning the 2008-2010ish market meltdown. That's not even that long ago, but it was fascinating seeing them react as each shoe dropped, speculate about what was next, etc etc over the months.
