Good fucking lord our bullpen sucks donkey dick

What’s crazy is the Blue Jays aren’t even making any big mistakes. The Mariners are just making runs through brute force and shutting the Toronto small-ball strategy down.

It's nice to see the Brewers be on the right side of some crazy play for once.

Dodgers getting RISP but can't drive anybody in.
update: Freddie!
update: Snell goes 8 shutout innings. Incredible performance.
update: 2-0 lead in the 9th with Roki up to close. If the Brewers tie or win they'll have earned it.
update: Roki can't close it out. 2-1, 2 outs with runners on 1st and 3rd. Up to Treinen now.
final update: Treinen pulls it off. Dodgers take game 1 with a 2-1 win. Fucking hell that was stressful.

Última edición:
FREDDIE’S DONE IT AGAIN LADS.

EDIT: Ohtani gets a run in doing absolutely nothing.

Holy Fuck, if Turang just didn't move out of the way it would have been tied! Crazy. Also Chuds stay winning. When the Jap can't get it done, you call in the Chud.

Dodgers had potential to do a lot of damage but couldn’t get the runs in. Strike zone seemed all over tonight.
Honestly, I don’t mind bad umping as long as it’s consistent - that way, I know the Umpire probably doesn’t have money on the game and just fucking sucks.

That, and I kinda want to see just how bad Umping has to get before the League does something about it. Yeah I know, they didn’t for years when Angel Hernandez was an Umpire, but at least he was only one guy.

If the Jays win the ALCS we'd make the craziest comeback ever
If the Mariners win the ALCS they'd make franchise history
Good time to be a Jays fan

Everything I've heard says that the Automated Ball/Strike challenge system will be used in major-league games next season. The trialed it in Spring Training this year, and the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. The purists liked it because it was fast and not unlimited use. The Robot Umps Now! crowd liked it because at least there's some way to appeal to something "unbiased".

Personally, I think it's going to take a bit before everyone figures out that it's mostly only good for inside/outside calls. High/low is still too much of a moving target to risk it unless it's a truly bad miss. Even so, I'll be glad to see less of the catcher framing bullshit (thanks Yadi!) since the computer won't give a fuck about you dragging that ball back 6 inches after its already in your mitt.

Baby steps.

I just had the displeasure of finding out there is a gross tranny going by @JessicadBrand on X that has elected to beef with the affable Sarah Langs using the creepiest language possible. Frankly, I would choose to get ALS over having to spend a single minute in the same room as Mr Brand.
