Dodgers fans were trolling Padres players by not only throwing caught (almost) home run balls back on the field after being given by the person that caught it, but also reportedly throwing trash on the field.

Padres’ own Machado ended up throwing a ball inadvertently to the Dodgers’ dugout, which almsot started a fight, but cooler heads prevailed.

Which creates a unique situation, since its an unpopular stadium and was going to be demolished in 2027. Seems unlikely that Tampa is going to spend tens of millions of disaster relief on fixing it.

So for the next few years, the Rays are going to either be an orphan team or play at a minor league park like the As.

As a Cleveland loyalist, it really has been a great series. The regular season games between us were some great midwest baseball. Both are pretty evenly matched. I much prefer a series like this in the playoffs than a 4-0 or 3-0 series blowout.

Both teams have relied very heavily on their bullpens, which is going to affect whoever advances later on. Cleveland has had a dominant bullpen this season and has the top closer in the league, but man were they looking straight gassed at points last night. Clase was clutch as he always is, but he had some control issues. After his performance a few days ago with three straight sliders, he seems spooked to throw that pitch again. Which I totally get, but that slider is a great offset to give a hitter after you throw multiple 100mph cutters and 4 seamers.

The other big problem we have is leaving guys on base. The last three games were atrocious in that aspect and Cleveland needs to finish what they start. That has been an issue all year though. While I can somewhat forgive leaving a dude on base when he got there with 2 outs, it is incredibly disappointing to see XBHs delivered with 0 outs and we either strike out or pop out the next batters. Regardless of that, I think our bats are very patient in waiting for the right pitch. As long as we keep the ball in play and competitive, we'll eventually get the desired results; but patience goes a long way in this game.

Well, 1 last game to go with all to play for. The proverbial "win or go home" scenario for either the Dodgers or the Padres.

Regardless of how things turn out, I want Roberts gone. People keep talking about this nigger's "winning %" even though he has the luxury of some of the best rosters in the game's history. If he had to manage a team that lives off of luxury taxes and has to scrape the bottom of the barrel, then how would his % look ?

It might be old news now, but Rojas was seen at a casino gambling well into the night before Game 3. I'm sorry, but if that's the kind of ship that you run then it has to go back to Roberts. If you're too bothered with fucking around at casinos and shit then that's emblematic of the lackadaisical culture that plagues the team.

I think that Yamamoto needs to be given an extremely short leash. If 2 men get on then it's basically time for a change. He shows elite ability in patches but for whatever reason he often gets completely taken apart early. Needs a lot of work if he's going to become a no-doubt starting pitcher (especially given the money involved).

Ned Yost was manager of the Royals when they won 2 consecutive pennants and a World Series. That was in spite of him, not because of him.

It led to an inside joke around KC known as getting "Yosted": when an utterly retarded decision blows a winnable game (i.e. putting in a gas can pitcher like Ryan Madson instead of Kelvin Herrera).

The inverse was true when they picked up Mike Matheny. He had a respectable tenure with St. Louis, then promptly shit the bed on the other end of I-70.
