So I'm in a bit of a pickle because I have plans to move to a state without [bank I currently use].

I've been looking at other bank chains, credit unions... But honestly Chime has caught my eye and I think I'll give it a trial, at least. I like the idea of no banking fees when I'm a genuine poorfag, and it looks like most of the issues with having no physical locations have a workaround.

Is there a "catch" I should be aware of if I use Chime as my primary bank? Is a Credit Union a better idea for a less Jewish banking experience?

My family tends to use both, depending on the situation. I think that certain Credit Unions have partnerships or associations with Chime and other, similar applications. We use Credit Unions mainly as stand-ins for banks, with any money transfers being done through them (provided we have accounts through the same union). My father occasionally uses an app similar to Chime (though I can't recall the name). He hasn't noticed any sort of unintended effects, but he's not fully aware of what the app might be capable of. As he only ever uses it to send money to my sister, when she needs it. I myself can't see how simply trying out Chime would be a bad idea, though you might be better-off going with a Credit Union in the long-term.

Very informative, thank you. I don't want more than a $5 monthly maintenance fee, the fact that Chime literally has no fees is a big, big draw.

I ended up opening an account and am awaiting my debit, I guess. I'm keeping my current bank account open until I KNOW I made a good choice, I can always close and undo this shit fairly easily which is nice.

If you don't wanna give money to ESG-hawking fatcats, bank with local thrifts or credit unions.
Banker here: local banks are the BEST, because they will bend over backwards to please you. Also the staff is usually nicer and less anal, meaning you don't have to deal with cunts thinking they are top tier security despite being CSRs lmao
Interest rates on CDs and accruing accounts might not be as good, but small town banks have a higher level of trust between them and the customer.
Credit Unions are also a good bet. I recommend surfing the web and searching through reviews because some famous CUs are borderline sketchy.

Looks like you already opened a Chime account, but if Chime doesn't work out and you still want to stay with online banks, I'd also recommend Charles Schwab Bank's checking.

Having unlimited ATM fee refunds worldwide and no international fees on top of the no banking fees is great.

You do get a stonks trading account open alongside it but it's totally optional to use.

The chime threads are great because I know when the tards are getting their tugboats, depending on my mood I may go observe the tard shenanigans at the package store, or if I’m going to be really fucking annoyed and use a grocery delivery service that day.
If you’ve got the courage, going on a tard safari and watching degens go nuts on their payday can be very fascinating,

Thank you, I'll keep that in mind because right now I'm just trying different options until I know what's right for my lifestyle.

Yeah, I don't really give a shit about the "Get your paycheck 2 days early!" thing. It's still the same amount of money, biweekly. It shouldn't affect anything worthwhile at all other than maybe the dates that certain bills come out. I don't understand the HUGE deal about it and why it's so central to their advertising.

Everyone should close their accounts with Bank of America and Wells Fargo.
Bank of America denied me even though I have credit in the 700s and nothing delinquent that I can possibly think of. Probably just bc I'm a tard poorfag. So fuck them.

Its designed to appeal to retards who ride the absolute bleeding edge of a paycheck to paycheck lifestyle. Getting paid two days early means you can go be stupid with money for two days, in their mind. Only to end up back on the exact same razor line of paycheck to paycheck, but now if you try to change to a different institute that doesn't paycheck advance, you're fucked as you've got this couple day gap.

And yes, people really do live that close to the wire, its retarded. At the same time, its impressive - the amount of effort I've seen the folks around me put into squeezing every last penny out of everything, skimping every bill to the last moment, shoplifting, whole nine yards, just to dig out an extra $20 to waste on Thursday night club drinks is astounding. If these people put that level of financial focus into something like crypto arbitrage, they'd be rich.

I've talked to a lot of people who have used Chime, and they're all generally some of the worst people I've ever met with money. It probably has to do with the relative ease of access that Chime provides more than anything else. They always seemed to have trouble directly interacting with their account (Echecks, direct deposit, that kind of thing) so they'd end up paying fees for using a card to pay rent and things like that. Honestly, that probably has more to do with competence more than anything else.

If you're worried about a catch with Chime, you don't really have to worry because you're genuinely poor. The amounts you'll give them are so small that it's all insured by the feds if the whole thing turns out to be a scam.

This. I agree with. And will state the following with CD's and treasury's. It just depends on the amount of money you want to mess with

I am a firm believer in the golden bee bee rule of positive amounts of cash flow from different aspects of the global economy. Heh I knew people who put their life's savings into one thing and watch it tank.

So yes I do have CD's and Treasuries and other positive passive amounts of NET profits coming in.

I also have a annuities as well.

IMHO CD's and Treasuries are conservative holdings. Annuities are low to mid level risk (to me that is) Stocks and Index funds low to high levels of risk and the Coin is high end. Commodities are low to high end risks as well. I am supporter of metals as well as food base commodities. Heh.

I have dabbled in all of this except the coin which I considered extremely risky.

Currently I am 60% income investment properties. 35% cash and 5% stocks/other. But that is going to change soon as I'm waiting for what the feds are going to do next.

I might add money markets fund to this as well for flexibility reasons. But I will be taking action soon as I see the mood of the market changing at this moment.

The only person I've ever known to use Chime said they had literally no other choice because their credit score was so horrible (literally 420 credit score) no regular bank would do business with them- that, and something about social security checks only being able to be deposited in chime (???)

It took me 5 years and 60 grand (over the years in a joint account) to get my wife's credit score up to excellent results. Long story short she got royally screwed over by her own family. Her credit score was in the 400's because of them If I had not come to the scene, she would be dead for sure. That is how bad it was and is as we disowned them all.

I have seen a lot of Evil in my life, so my friendly warnings on in this are .
1. Make absolutely sure you can trust those people around you including family. Otherwise you ARE going to fucked over because of money. And it does not matter if it is your family or not. If they think they can get money off of you... THEY WILL.

2. YOUR CREDIT SCORE in the US is that social score globally. Take care of it and it will take care of you.

Non-american here, does your credit score also dictate who you can/cant open a bank account with too? not just lines of credit?

Social security can issue you a “direct express” debit card, it looks very food stampy.
I learn a lot from my tard safaris, irl lowcow observations are dangerous but rewarding. Find a corner store near a mental health type of nursing home
The tard cards, they might as well have a picture of a malingering nigger on it.
As part of the wef strategy the mental health industry is primarily fat fucking nigger social workers getting silverback niggers, spics and white trash, all able bodied, with huge tard strength that could be utilized at a factory job, a crazy check, a section ape voucher, food stamps, free drop in centers with big screen tvs, laundry, pizza parties, etc. They destabilize neighborhoods very well and soon as they get a shit apartment you’ll be hearing sirens and the sounds of the Purge in your formerly decent building.
I was a drug rep awhile back and the lobby of the entirely Arab staffed Medicaid clinic was filled with guys who look like the tard version of “TV’s Frank” from Mst3k whom only wash their hair with dollar tree hand soap, cum catcher moustaches, Fanny packs, and still think Whitesnake is the best music ever.
If their tard wrangler is white, they all look like the Mom from “For better or for worse” or Chelsea Clinton with uggs, a huge oversize sweater to hide their titless yet huge assed , pot bellied body and only the finest local shit coffee that’s cruelty free.
If you mf’s are desperate for pussy they’re so starved for any contact with a person who can actually hold a conversation you’ll get to see those flabby thighs flapping and jiggling on your motel 6 bed in no time.

I may have gone off topic, sorry.

Not just that- if you have bad credit not only can you never try to get a mortgage of any kind (obviously) you won't be able to rent anything since all rental applications include a credit check process. A bad credit score in many ways can lead to a literal death/homeless sentence.

So with bad credit you are unable to open a bank account, which does not usually ever involve a line of credit to begin with? What the fuck

The hood gas station near me won't take Chime, make of that what you will. Before I got a checking account I used American Express Serve card. It's prepaid, can get direct deposits, only a buck per month without DD (this was ~10 years ago so YMMV), and when it got skimmed and drained once Amex was on it and I didn't lose a penny.
