Baldur's Gate III Announced - ...and it's coming to Google Stadia and PC

Travelling with this group of assholes is like going to the park with a bunch of little kids.
My precious Tavitha will be walking along the path like a civilized person and I'll look over and the other three are walking along the tops of boulders, tripping through the bushes, stuck trying to get around crates...
Get your shit together! People are counting on us to say we're going to do all these quests! At least look professional until we fuck it up or forget it entirely!
Jeez.

If only it were like JRPGs where your companions all travel in your pocket and only come our during cutscenes and battles.

Or western RPG, where your main character do the talking. I hate when someone initiate dialogue with Lae'zel and there's a speech check

That bugged the hell out of me too. First time I destroyed the Grove, Minthara initiates dialogue with Shadowheart and tells her how much she wants to fuck. And my character is standing there like, "Umm, what about me? I'm the one leading this operation..."

Made it kind of awkward when I talk with her back and camp and Minthara acts like she didn't just proposition Shadowheart a few moments ago.

Do you guys have fun dark urge flavor/rp stories?
My Urge killed the looters outdoor in act 1 and then threw their dead body in the hole.

Imagine seeing your friends dead body get thrown one by one from the celling.

My Urge wears Alfira's lute as a memento from his first perverted kill post amnesia. He can't even play an instrument.

During the Bdsm loviatar session, my Urge got fully naked to assert dominance. That's how Intense he is.

At last light inn he just pulled up and killed everyone.
Jaheira, the harpers, the fists, Isobel and the shadows.

Having a chest with dead bodies and mutilated bodyparts is a classic.

I load up my Durge save for when I'm having a rough day and just need to murderhobo. Remember, Bhaal cares more about quantity than quality!

My durge is a monk, so I decided to play redemption version of it. As an inner peace and tranquility overcomes desire to go full murderhobo

Thinking of a Necromancer Durge who just kills people as a matter of practicality. Needs bodies to make zombies and skeletons, after all; nothing personal.

It seems to be a minor glitch where a character will initiate dialogue with the character who happens to be closest to them at the time. Once I figured it out, I just get my guy right next to the person before the battle ends.

Some of this happened on my first playthrough, so unless you've got a crystal ball, there wasn't any knowing if your character were in the right spot before battle ends and the NPC comes to talk to you. Can't believe I had to savescum just to put my PC in the correct spot.

I’ve been save scumming my ass off throughout this game already, so it wasn’t really an issue for me. But it can be annoying, yeah.

not a bug, it's a feature

it was also in their Divinity II: Original Sin RPG and people having been complaining about it since at least then (might've been in their RPG previous to that one, too) but for some reason Larian just refuses to change it. They claim fixing it would break cutscenes or something along those lines.

I’ve savescummed because of this too, super annoying.

That’s dumb. I want my character to do the talking, not any of the others.

I only had it happen a couple times in Act 1 and I think once in Act 2, so it hasn’t been that annoying to me.

On a different topic, being able to move before Casador in his boss fight has made all the difference in being able to control the flow of battle.

It's a gigantic pain in the ass for Druids.

If you are in some type of animal form - the person that would speak to you just speaks to the next closet person and there are some bosses/etc that initiate speech during combat.

Really wish they'd find some kind of workaround for it.

They claim the problem is your party's positioning and that having your characters change positioning during the cutscene would break the scene and it'd be too expensive to take into account all the different positions your characters can have and then animate them moving around for every cutscene.

Apparently the fade out / fade in or having the camera focus on something other than your party at the start of the scene while the game gets your party into the proper position for the scene is some sort of ancient dark technology that Larian cannot replicate.

They just need an option for the game's NPCs to prioritize talking with the "Avatar" character and ignore everyone else in the party. I'm not a programmer so I don't know how realistic implementing that would be, but there it is.

Última edición:
Having Cazador surrounded by three summons and two regular characters only to have him try and run to attack Astarion(who had a second character standing beside him to free him if he got captured), and lose like 100 HP from Attacks of Opportunity and die was the best way for that fight to end.

I got a bug during this fight. Short story - never use sunlight in this battle. Dialogue with other vampire spawns will be interrupted and you will not have Cazador's staff and no dialogue with Astarion himself
