Baldur's Gate III Announced - ...and it's coming to Google Stadia and PC

I'm having problems getting into this game. BG2 was my favorite game for many years and this one is solid. The plot just isn't drawing me in like the old game. I don't give a fuck about the Illithid parasites and how they're obviously not turning the party so we can do their dirty work whilst spying.

Playing it safe putting this behind a spoiler.

I'm so upset to find out this wasn't intentional. Figured it was because Minsc is a dumbass. Really wish they hadn't fixed that because it cracked me up the first time I saw Clownheira.

Sadly, spoiler for endgame
Baldurs Gate was destroyed by a giant brain. Only La'zel, my character and Orpheus(Mind Flayer) made it to the portal. Orpheus apparently died immediately and the remaining characters didn't have nearly enough damage output to win. Oh well, I'm just going to call it a loss and play something else because that fight was stupid.

Man, I was really impressed with coming across the Chest of the Mundane…until I realized I can’t carry it and it doesn’t take away the weight. Sucks.

EDIT: okay, after meeting Omeluum and hearing his story, I kinda wish there was a way you could play as a rebel Mind Flayer. Like a similar thing to the Dark Urge, give it a specific backstory and stuff. Like you can use all the Iliad powers, but you have to actively eat brains at a regular rate to keep yourself in control and not die. Could be cool.

Última edición:
There is a bug where you can glitch the game by going back to act 3 and somehow glitching saves that turns your whole party into them.

Also, you listed a copycat wiki.

My BG3 review since I finally finished a run of it:

Acts 1+2: good
Act3: half-assed, both technically and design-wise

Also companions are too coombrained for my liking, and dark urge is the only fun way to be evil in this game (thanks to whichever kiwi advised me on doing this after my previous rant).

Act 3 has been improving as they get feedback and add fixes and such.

I remembered why I put the rest of my Grymforge quests on hold, they make it such a pain in the ass to reach the lower right section of the map. Still working on getting there.

Update: Finally did it, though I cheesed with Misty Step because I couldn't be bothered with figuring out the actual solution. Fuck the Grym fight.

Última edición:
It's a tough fight, but you don't have to kill anything but the brain. That dragon is just a distraction.
Do you have any allies left to summon? They could help you tear down the target.
You can't summon allies at the brain. And I don't think they'll go through the portal. I ignored everything and Gale got stunned and promptly burned to a crisp before moving an inch. And Shadowheart made it most of the way before being stunned and burned to a crisp. So with the 2 that made it through the portal there was nowhere near enough damage to take out the brain in the required number of turns.

Beat the game as Dark Urge Paladin. Ending completely broke for me and either didn't load or massively downscaled a lot of assets.

Dark Urge questline's ending felt a lot better, especially since Bhaal murdered me for being too nice and only killing Alfira and that one grove squirrel.

Only broke my oath twice and it pissed me off.
How the fuck does killing the vampires break my oath? Releasing ONE goblin in act 1 is evil and breaks it but then in act 3 I'm genuinely expected to release SEVEN THOUSAND VAMPIRES (Bloodstarved) in the hopes that six of them will guide all SEVEN THOUSAND feral vampires to the Underdark (Where people live) to live a life of veganism and peace? Is Larian stupid? Also offering to bribe the newspaper guy broke my oath but not slaughtering groups of people by intentionally flubbing a detect thoughts roll so that I could call it self-defense.
On a side note playing a dragonborn made me sad when I got to the city and realized I was the only one in the game that didn't look like complete shit.
