Baldur's Gate III Announced - ...and it's coming to Google Stadia and PC

I really dislilke faggy vampire and junkie Magic dude. Female companions are great so far, just met Demon lady.
Also playing this what the fuck has betesda think with the DA ip after Origina, that was a great game
Asterion's whole OH DAHHHHHLING act bugged me at first but he grew on me. I'm a faghag, though.

Gale kind of seems like he's taken and Wyll, on top of being grossly disfigured, seems kinda the same way with his boobly demon mistress. Both still hit on me, but nah.

Karlach acts like a big kid and Shadowheart was falling for me before we even left the Nautiloid. Too damaged and needy.

Lae'zel looks like she smells bad.

All of this didn't stop me of stripping all my characters of their clothes and turning my camp into a nudist colony. Made the cutscenes entertaining.

Dark Elf murder mommy.

It is a very common critique that the companions are unlikeable.

That isn't false, but they do got character and it can change.

I take that over the flavourless npcs you mostly get, Starborn.

Also, realistically the randos you got into trouble with aren't your childhood buddies going on an epic quest with you, though that game could be fun too.

Wasn't trying to flirt with Lae'zel at all and she suddenly tells me she wants to taste me. Yeah, nope, back the fuck off. Also turned down Gale but I at least like him.

I let Astarion bite me (twice) because I gotta admit that he's become my favorite. The -1 debuff afterwards is annoying but hasn't ruined the majority of my rolls, plus his buff is helpful.

Relieved it's not just me who seems to be struggling with Auntie Ethel, I gave her a couple tries yesterday and got thrashed pretty badly. Been trying to level up in preparation for the goblin leaders (sans Gut, she's already dead) but some of the other quests I've attempted are proving difficult, so I feel kind of stuck.

Best way I managed to stop her was going Karlach, Lae'zel, Gale and a warlock PC. I just maximized damage and turn count and did my best to out DPS her.

I misty stepped over to the cage in order to free the girl using the amulet, shoved one of her clones into the pit, then status effected the real one with poison so I always knew which one to focus on.

It was shitty though, she turned invisible and I had the fake eye and she was still invisible. Is it something I have to activate or just a bug?

Lae'zel is notorious for doing that. Someone earlier in the thread posted a video of some guy on youtube trying see how quickly you can have sex and he got Lae'zel to bang him in like 2 minutes into the game. I'm pretty sure it's almost impossible to not have her say that to you if you have her in the party long enough.

I think before the release it altered your attributes, but according to this ( Archive ) there aren't any besides your party members thinking you're a dumbass for going through with it.
I’ll have to double check because I think I got it after the update but I know what my previous attributes should be. If anything I’ll just load a previous save.

I've run into this issue a couple times where the game will just randomly decide a party member should do the talking and it doesn't always happen in combat either. I think something bugs out when the NPC tries to force a convo and they accidentally select a party member instead of the controlled PC.
I had it happen again in that fight with the Gnoll with the flail in the Missing Delivery quest(fuck that particular enemy, thank you very much) and I managed to fix it by having my character run straight at the NPC after the fight before the dialogue triggered. I think the bug is having them talk to whoever happens to be closest to them when the “talk” flag triggers.

I had it pretty easy both times. I threw a bottle of water at the cage to put it out and had my team just pelt her with crossbow shots/spells while I used my Rouge to duel wield and stab her a bunch. Any time she warped and tried to hid herself the camera tracked her, when she tried to hide as the girl, she was the only one who did so because I never attacked any of her clones,, and right after she went invisible she laughed and it told me the general areas she was in, so I just used an AoE scroll and got her(also if she poisoned or something, the damage she takes knocks her out of the invisibility).

Oh, and if you get multiple versions of her hiding as the girl, examine them and look for the one who has different stats.

For Ethel, I cheesed it: Cast silence, got her to the edge of the pit, pushed her in. Don't remember exactly how.

Had a fun 'bug' the other day. Cleared a house of enemies, post-combat one was just knocked out. Killed them, got the "Mission Complete" update, but there were guards outside who cared about that, but not the previous 50 I killed, and accused me of murder. Next try, closed the door, killed them, the guards or some other NPC came in, accused me of killing, etc. Finally switched to turn based, closed the door, killed the NPC, waited, fast traveled and then walked back to make sure the guards weren't aggroed. Fucking game.

Isn't it "nothing, unless it's True Resurrection?"
No, any rez spell above revivify automatically heals any lost body parts. In fact I think there's a new lower level spell in 5E that restores lost body parts on corpses anyways so you could use that. Iirc true rez counteracts any spell effects tho.

The netherese weren't sooper magic secret cults with hidden magic nobody knew about. EVERYONE knew everyone's spells back then, the issue was casting them. And the magic tadpole shit would be the scope of a mythal, not 3 would be gods bitching about the tablet of fate. AGAIN.

Though the biggest secret with magic atm, is that Mystra didn't actually 'ban' spells higher than level 9, she's actively sabotaging any attempts and killing people that successfully cast level 10+ spells. Hence the gale thing and why I'm confused about how the Dead 3 even did all this after remembering this shit.

If they wanted the lore to be accurate: There's actually a former high-ranking netherese that turned into an elder brain. Have him have knowledge of the spell Karsus's Avatar (this spell is the one that killed Mystryl btw). Which would take a long ass time to do. Then add the usual plot.

Also I'm still pissed my GoO patron didn't go "OH BOY this slave is being uppity, emancipate his ass" to the netherbrain.

I do like them, I just don't want to have sex with any of them.

I'm doing a good playthrough first so Minratha is six feet under. Will see how she measure up next time around.

Soooo are there any benefits to letting Rugan live? I’m at the part where he’s tied to a chair and I’m supposed to kill him, which is kinda dark but I get the feeling I’ll gain a lot of side stuff being in good with this group. And the guy was willing to let me die to those hyena assholes when I came to save them.

So are there benefits to sparing him or should just kill him and be done with it?

Alternatively, I do have a save right before that fight where I could just let him deliver the chest himself and not be in this situation. So what’s the best call?

there is a way to advance druid grove without siding with anyone. i legit dont care about anyone there and the drow and the devil dude are ass raping me
Kill the druids
Tell elf where druid circle is then IMMEDIATELY go to devil cuck to set up an ambush
Kill goblins.

Before the thieflings leave. Kill everyone while the children watch.

Well, I just remembered WHY I ended up in the situation I did with Rugan: after I revealed I knew who he was, my only choices were intimate him or pursued him to steal the chest himself. So I guess the trick is not to reveal I know who he is.
