Utterly trivializing the game when you complete the book later on is the only real consequence. They toned it down in a recent patch, but it's just fundamentally something that sucks any challenge out of every fight with a straw, and if you go through with it you'll see what I mean.

Super convenient to have Speak to the Dead just as a passive ritual, though their giving you the amulet does mean that first step isn't necessarily a big game-changer. You can re-use the amulet's Speak to the Dead as long as you maintain concentration.

The game has bugs and workarounds that would 100% happen in a dnd session if you’re creative so honestly I’d let it slide.

The passive ability was my main interest, yeah. I have the amulet, but gaining it as an ability would free up the amulet spot for a different boost/bonus.

Ok so I posted earlier that I hate TB combat and really wanted a Space pause mode.
Happy to report that I picked up the game and although I don't have much time to play, I reached lvl 8 and things got more chill around 4, making combat enjoyable. Great game!
Also Larian are telling us something here.... especially considering the outcomes of the quest

Is there a button (I think it's on the bottom left) to let you switch which character's talking? Not sure how the game handles that for certain dialogues. Looking at some other posts, it seems like that one might be triggered by whomever gets the last hit on her. Might have to reload a bit and make sure your PC gets the hit, I'm not sure.

Can’t be the last hit, because Karlach was the last to attack her.

But it’s fine, it worked right the second time. Wasn’t as clean a fight, but I got it to work.

I’m not against it, mind you, but I also don’t want to lock myself out of romantic possibilities with other characters. It’s still really early in the game, after all.

So if I sleep with her/reject her, does that immediately lock me into/out of a relationship with her. Or can I just sleep with her for the desire to and actually hook up with someone later?
