List of datamined cut content on the Steam forums. Frankly that explains a lot, you can feel a bunch of these and if true they cut more content than some other games bring in the first place. It's a lot of stuff that ties other shit together though so it really hurts. Massive spoilers obviously.

Their last games ran out of juice towards the end but this is on an entirely new level, it's blatantly unfinished.
Yeah larian pulled a todd howard, not really surprised. Especially since they cut corners with the lvl 12 cap, when there's enough xp for at least level 15.
And the whole "your enemies are level 16-19 thing".

And the crafting thing.
They really should've just delayed this a year or some shit it's aggravating.
Also the ele monk mod really did fix elemental monk for me, especially the bladesinger-esque "attack after casting a spell" thing, but it's all spells since you're a gish with very very VERY low spell slots.
Yeah I forgot to add that I don't know a single fucking thing about D&D. The fact I don't know a single thing about anyone in this setting besides what I know from other sources (Demons and Cthulhu shit).
One key thing, do not fall for the retarded DPR bullshit the discord and fextralife is bitching about constantly. Save or suck and fucking with people's rolls are always king.
So like, stack arcane acuity and that other thing and just clip enemies out of bounds forever.

Damn, seems like this release was actually Early Access part 2.
I'm sure they'll have a "Definitive Edition" later down the line with most of those contents, like they did with the Original Sin games, but some of those cuts are really disappointing. Almost feels like I ruined the game for myself by playing it now.

These in particular made me sad to see cut:
"3) Karlach's Ending"
"12) The Hag Coven in Act 2 and 3"
"13) Epilogues"
"22) Tadpole's and Consequences"

But thank god "30) Crafting" was cut, fuck that. I'm tired of this waste of time in games.
I hate that they cut epilogues from the game. It really make the game feel unfinished as I would like to know what happened to everyone after doing their quests and what not. I am hoping they fix that with a "Definitive Edition" down the line. I will say that I am glad that Larian did abandon your custom character being the Dark Urge as that, to me at least, would have negatively affected player choice in allowing us to play our own character and instead force players to play a certain way. Good call Swen.
PS: why the fuck that idiotic name "TAV" for main character? Is there any story behihd it or it's just modern auditory is too dumb to rememeber anything larget than 3 letters?
Tav was the name of the adventure sent to investigate a string of murders in Baldur's Gate committed by the Dark Urge in the narrative browser game Blood in Baldur's Gate. Seems like Larian decided to keep the name for custom characters.

Most popular romance: White (half-elf) woman who isn't a slut.
Most popular race: Half-elf, barely, followed by human despite human having its racial bonuses completely removed and given to everyone else.
Most popular Player Characters: Males, by a mile.
Most popular class: Paladin, by a mile.
Good playthroughs were vastly preferred over evil playthroughs.

Gary Gygax and @Homer J. Fong completely, 100% vindicated. Game devs, game journoscum and WotC queers left seething.

Karlach could have been an interesting choice had her dialogue not been written by Reddit.
"OH FUCK YES! LET'S GO KILL SOME SHIT! WUBBA WUBAA DUB DUB" - Karlach
As for Laezael I think I'm going to play a Gith for the Dark Urge playthrough and see what her romance dialog is for laughs. But yes Shadowheart is just the instant romance choice. They should have balanced it by including a Betty to Shadowheart's Veronica.

I was going to romance Shadowheart but now I'm not so sure anymore. Of course they reveal all this shit when it's way too late to get another romance going.
I had to load an older save and abandon some act 2 progress but now I got some frogmance going as a backup.

i just want a 40 something year old half elf say she loves and cares about me. its not about the sex. i just want to be happy.

I think I might buy BGIII since so many people are talking about how great it is. Just how cringey is it though? Is it nothing but gay elves and dragons? Is it full of woke shit? If so how bad?

Some more things Solasta did better than baldur's gate 3:
  • Dice rolls during combat and skill checks. It's more visually appealing. To me, at least
  • Scavenger guild mechanic. If you miss some items in area, there's an option to collect it later without visiting that location and scouring it for items. And you can sell it right there
  • Better camera and pathfinding

Larian cut the game to bits, removed all the interesting choices and consequences that were in early access and datamined in the early access files, and thought giving people bear sex and a reddit barbarian would cover it up. It almost worked. After all the hype, Larian delivers a CRPG that's like almost any other big name CRPG release. A great opening that gradually stumbles into a third act filled with cut content. It's not a bad game but it's not the 97 on Metacritic, 10/10 on IGN that it's hyped as.

What's deeply ironic is they cut things like Daisy to appease Reddit in the first place.

So, basically, every Larian game ever? I am certain that there will be a Definitive Edition for this game that restores a lot of the cut content just like with all the other Larian games. Just hate that this game was clearly unfinished but they rushed it out in order to not compete with Starfield.
Also, the reason a lot of content was cut may be because Larian lost their second studio in mid-development for Baldur's Gate 3.

The weirdest element of all the stuff that Larian cut (and that list is all big picture, it isn't going into the multitude of small bits and pieces like companion dialogue, interjections, and camp resting sequences that have been removed for no clear reason) is that they were adding things to the game as of patches 8 and 9 (Oct 2022, Mar 2023), such as cutscenes of party members freaking out about their tadpoles, which aren't present in the final release candidate. What was happening behind the scenes at Good Guy Company Larian?

its mostly check off woke requirement. gay couples, women in position of power, muh poor migrants etc.
Also almost every group looks like a diversity poster. It's only slightly less noticeable in Act 1 because you're dealing with a lot of tieflings and goblins but the druids, the flaming fists in the northwest part etc are a total mess. Then you enter act 2 and meet all of those harpers it gets even worse.
Wouldn't be surprised if WotC forced this on Larian since the only other game of theirs that I played is Dragon Commander and the only woke thing I remember from that game was the white lesbian character. Maybe DOS1/2 are just as bad though, I don't know.

Cuck her with Cthulhu. It is the weeb way.

Not really. There's an elf, pushing for faggotry in first act. "Love is love and mother nature" kinda shit. You will also get a debuff when you refuse to allow said faggotry from said mother nature. There's also a feminist general, but you can convince her that meritocracy is better than supremacy

Karlach could have been an interesting choice had her dialogue not been written by Reddit.
That's exactly the problem, she's a demonic killing machine written like a 21st century redditor.
And reddit hates it when they can't force a happy ending.
Karlach could either choose a heroic death on her own terms, or she could kick fate in the bollocks and team up with Wyll to solve things in Avernus.
Both make narrative sense, but that's not good enough for the genki girl audience surrogate.
