It's weird because I have been a huge fan of Larian for a while (Divinity, Divinity 2, Dragon Commander, DOS1+2), but something about BG3 just doesn't interest me. As some have said, the writing is kind of cringy, and it's really odd considering the writing for Dos2 (their last game) was pretty good, imo. I wonder if it comes down to the stipulations with Wizards of the Coast or something. I also think the party members in DOS2 were less annoying. Honestly, I just wish they made a new original IP or continued the Divinity world, but to be fair, I'm not into D&D or Baldur's Gate, so idk.

Will source come back?

I think they expanded and hired a bunch of retards in the process which affected the work culture and the end product. So I wouldn't expect anything different going forward.

That sounded more bitter than I thought it would, but it's more just a fact of what happens to companies when they expand. They don't get to be as picky with quality.

Última edición:
can you skip/disable all combat/movement animations during combat?
Not as far as I can tell. There might be a keybind I'm not aware of, though.

In other news, someone did a speedrun of how fast it takes to get Lae'zel to bed the player character.

There is three files in that mod. Male, female and all. Give it a another few weeks and I am sure that a modder will make a mod to turn off individual companion romances. Assuming that the Nexus trannies don't throw a fit over such a mod.
I would like to expunge all faggotry. I just wanted to be bros, not to fuck some guy in the ass

I really hate how many unbreakable, unpickable magical doors there are on Chapter 3.
It really feels like the devs are trying their hardest to stop you from skipping their ebin quests and heading straight into the last few bosses.
Ffs just let me blow the fuck out of this door and murder Orin.

List of datamined cut content on the Steam forums. Frankly that explains a lot, you can feel a bunch of these and if true they cut more content than some other games bring in the first place. It's a lot of stuff that ties other shit together though so it really hurts. Massive spoilers obviously.

Their last games ran out of juice towards the end but this is on an entirely new level, it's blatantly unfinished.

Damn, seems like this release was actually Early Access part 2.
I'm sure they'll have a "Definitive Edition" later down the line with most of those contents, like they did with the Original Sin games, but some of those cuts are really disappointing. Almost feels like I ruined the game for myself by playing it now.

These in particular made me sad to see cut:
"3) Karlach's Ending"
"12) The Hag Coven in Act 2 and 3"
"13) Epilogues"
"22) Tadpole's and Consequences"

But thank god "30) Crafting" was cut, fuck that. I'm tired of this waste of time in games.

"3) Karlach's Ending"
I actually have some words for this I will spoiler.
Once you get to act 3 you start encountering those robot guardsmen and I don't remember which one it was but at one point one walks up to her and starts talking about her heart which it identifies as a heart like they have but a very outdated model and tells her to go get dismantled since upgrading something that out of date would be a waste. As part of the story later on you do blow up the factory they're made in/controlled from and rescue the gnomes that build them. So I'm thinking to myself these gnomes they build that shit, so they can probably fix hers too and when the gnomes you rescued earlier show up and tell you the engineer gnomes suck and you should ally with the explosion gnomes I tell those to go fuck themselves thinking engineer gnomes will fix up Karlach for you and then nothing. Shit just ends, it's over. Blacksmith guy who did the first two upgrades also has no more comments after the second one in act 2. Fucking shame right there, makes her character kind of pointless.

Downloaded it from torrent without any hope to like it and...actually liked it. I don't care much about the story so it's just "killing things" to me, but hell it does satisfy my old-school RPG thirst. The game feels like something from 2010-s when studios still did games not garbage. Probably gonna play it a week or two and if my opinion doesn't change buy it on Steam. Seems worthy.

PS: why the fuck that idiotic name "TAV" for main character? Is there any story behihd it or it's just modern auditory is too dumb to rememeber anything larget than 3 letters?
PPS: why the fuck "TAV" never speaks? Did I chose that faggotish voice for nuthin?

This is a minor nitpick that I'm blowing up, but I wish this game did books differently. While it is an improvement that you auto read then, instead of the Original Sin games where you auto picked up books, you still have to carry them with you to keep that info, which already causes issues with the shit inventory system.

My solution would've been to do a codex like in Dragon Age, where interacting with books added a page in the codex for you to look at whenever. Funny how this game did so much right that this game didn't.

So they originally planned for allowing you to knock up the dommy drow like Aerie in BG2? I wonder if they cut it due to all the dumb non-binary gender shit they forced into the game.

Reading about those cuts makes me even less inclined to pick up where I left off. A lot of it will undoubtedly be added back in in a definitive edition and/or DLC. May as well just wait and restart in a year or so.

This game would really benefit from a codex like Dragon Age regardless. As someone not all that into DnD the game does a pretty poor job actually telling me about the setting. Especially when you compare it to something like the Pathfinder games which are more than happy to tell you about any god, country or even city that shows up in dialogue. Hell I picked a high elf in CC and I still don't know what that actually is beyond like a single line about magic.

Yeah I forgot to add that I don't know a single fucking thing about D&D. The fact I don't know a single thing about anyone in this setting besides what I know from other sources (Demons and Cthulhu shit).
