There's an oil for that. Hag's death or something like that
That only works on the initial meeting and if you don't miss the throw - or the game doesn't bug out so you hit her with the bottle but not the potion's effects for some reason, and youll still have to kill her anyways, so.
That actually sounds really lame and was one of the criticisms of the Final Fantasy XII gambit system
"Hurr, the game plays itself"

Even in games with RTwP such as DA: Origins managing characters during combat was still useful. Hell, in the PF games I don't remember the companions doing everything in realtime mode.
Because spending half of the time waiting your turn is so nice. After, yaknow. Spending the other half on five loading screens.
You haven't really tried the AI system in origins then. Since I just timed every character to forcefully create vulnerabilities for spell combos, in conjunction with enemy difficulty and HP.

Why does this exist? Why? Guess they wanted to please the Japanese.

I was thinking of giving the game a chance. Saw some gameplay and characters that were interesting. But this shouldn't be a thing, not just because you're trying to stick your dick into a literal aberration, but because Mind Flayers thought processes are completely different to 90% of player races. It cannot be understated how alien these things are. I know WoTC doesn't give a shit about their own IPs but come on.

Next thing you know, a Beholder will write a twitlonger on how the player character is xenophobic as fuck.

I actually reloaded an old save to do the evil goblin path playthrough and romance the drow. It's actually kinda amazing just how much splinters and changes here. (And how fucking good a companion the drow paladin is.) I want a patch were you can find a way to recruit both her and the druid at the same time. Perfect party composition for me right there.

Cool that they dropped another hotfix. Act 3 has been getting a lot of polish with them and going over the patch notes, it looks like it'll be more stable now.

Really looking forward to the mod community for this game. Both in terms of opening up console commands and future new combat options. I really would like to see a "DM mode" patch or expansion down the line. You really could go full hog with creating custom quests and scenarios and almost turn the game into a full tabletop sim.

Idk why people like Shadowheart, though the 2 RL friends I play with like her too - to me she comes across as somewhat milquetoast and kinda dumb/naive.
The best kind of woman.

I'm fanging for a Goblin Slayer mod.

Silvervale really likes the Vampire.
The twink makes the first impression by trying to slice your throat and, should you let this slide, attempts to drink your blood on the very next night. Has anyone NOT murdered him then and there? Companion plot armor aside, he is asking to be put six feet under.

I never used him in Early Access but this time through I just left Frogger in her cage so I've had just one party lineup: him, Shadowsweetie, and dumb Gale, with me as a Fisty Monk (I didn't want the broken oath Paladin logic to piss me off on my first runthrough). Once he levels up and can specialize as an Assassin those sneak attacks are deadly. Monks are more fun than I thought they'd be.

I'm about at the end of Act I but panicked when it asked if I had any loose ends to tie up - can you not go back to the Act I map once you leave?

It's an okay game but too tedious to blast through in one long spergout like I was hoping to. I don't know how people have finished it already, the story's not very engaging, although I do like that it's like buying a book of loosely connected generic D&D adventures, like an omnibus hardcover modules collection. Like when you try to binge watch old shows and you realize they're supposed to be watched one episode a week or you'll notice how dumb the show was, that's what this game is. It's very D&D in all its good and bad ways.

There isn't much current_day political in it so far in my playthrough, but I do stand by what I said about what is in there like that being indicative of the stupid, lazy edgelord writing we got. Whoever said that it's a sign of a DM whose table you wouldn't want to play at was spot on.

It was fun guessing what the final product would be like and getting fired up with you all, and thanks for being mostly cool about spoilers, I hope I get the drive to finish it. It really is fun running up to monsters and slapping them six times with my monk fist; I wish the story were more compelling but if it were just a random Dungeon Hack-style game with no story I'd have more fun with that, the combat system is cool. Having no plot is better than boring/hamfisted plot.

Well, you are not a young woman. As twilight proved, they love that shit.

I've finally hit level cap by multiplying most endgame encounters exp by like 2 so that's nice. But you'll need the "level cap class unlocker" for lvl 12+ shit and it has massive compatibility issues so fuck that.Besides my party consists of warlocks specifically avoiding mystic arcanum cuz long rest warlock spells stinky - even with 8x the spell slots from a mod.

Now my party consists of:
-Me : 12 Bladelock/8 Open Hand using a telekinesis is a bonus action spell mod to randomly throw enemies around while using a mod I made for bestow curse to remove concentration in general (I can't figure out how to make it a lvl 5 only upscale benefit, but I can only cast lvl 5 spells now so whatever) so I effortlessly smack enemies on each other or throw them into a wall of fire or just lob fireworks everywhere or just pull them closer so I can smack people with unarmed - or throw the fucking spear the genie gave me that explodes AND returns. I also found a rapier that gave me an extra reaction to hellish rebuke everyone while having armor of agythys. I guess I made something akin to a tank/dps. But I have shitty WIS/CON saves so no bueno. Add all of this with how I can do an upwards of 19 hits a turn (5 EB's from mod x 3 turns + 2 flurry of blows + hellish rebuke 2 times) and how everything I have ADDS to every hitsplat I can shell out a metric fuckton of damage. I'm pretty sure I could've one turn nova'd the guy with 300 hp. Eldritch blast doesn't scale to 4 hits at lvl 19 btw. Just 3. So I had to get the mod that adds more blasts, found the glove that gives an extra hit for every cantrip, and then just added an extra blast in the mix cuz the glove fucking sucks. You can also cause enemies to clip out of bounds and insta die while pushing them with agonizing blast btw. Even through a wall so that's fun. Speaking of, anyone found something that increases your wisdom to 17 or some shit? I really need it.

-Wyll: 12 Bladelock/ 8 Vengeance Paladin- Padlock. Still duh. wen hexblade seriously. Then again most of hexblade is in blade pact now...

-Gale: 12 Divination Wizard/ 8 Mystra Cleric - Still mystic theurge but now has an established identity of being the dice fucker by spamming guiding bolt and portents, creating elementals, helping me just douse the arena in bestow curses, and overall mezzing.

-Laezel: 12 Eldritch Knight/ 8 Arcane Trickster - I honestly have no idea what to do with her 8 extra levels since sneak attack doesn't work with most martial weapons. so idk

-Asstarion: 12 Sword Bard/ 8 Assassin - Idk if they fixed sneak attack at some point, but true strike works on it now regardless of if your attack is not a normal attack. So that's nice. I might've mixed up PF2 sneak attack with 5E's I guess. But yeah adding your bardic inspiration to your sneak attack makes up for the low rogue level. Wish we had college of whispers and the prayer spell for bardic secrets tho.

-Karlach: 12 Wildheart/ 8 Vengeance Paladin- Reckless Attack Smite while raging. P simple. I gave her every crit booster i can find. So she crits more than my MC that vomits 19 hits a round and somehow does more damage along with it.

-Shadowheart: 12 Life Cleric/ 8 Eldritch Knight - If you did her quest, you know why. Sort of. It's life instead of light because I WANT a healer goddammit.

-Druid 1- 9 Spore Druid/ ?????? MNK - I thought flurry of blows would work in animal form like in tabletop. It does not. And I can't use him (you know why if youre in act3) so uh.

-Druid 2 - 12 Beastmaster/ 8 Eldritch Knight- If you know who she is. You know why.

-Him- 12 Hunter/ 8 Berserker - If you know who he is. You know why.

I never liked CRPGs (Fallout 1 is basically the only one I like, Fallout 2 is fucking unbearable) they seem like a retard combining the worst elements of board games and vidya. Honestly, at this point I really doubt Western Dev’s have the ability to write a compelling or funny story. I basically come at a view that they’ll fuck up anything because the gay shit from other entertainment industries is now infecting it.

I’ve seen this shilled on /v/ and YouTube and it basically seems like they don’t have micro transactions and is a very underwhelming game from 2010.

Decided to reroll palachad because apparently my build sucked. How's does this look? I didn't have many options to work with.

Caster classes appear to be way weaker than melee.

Githyanki make up for this with their racial kit in some ways. You can equip Medium armor even as a Wizard, Sorc, or Bard if you're a Gith. Plus, a Gith can also use Greatswords by default. If you wanna roleplay a Death Knight character, ideally you could play an armored Wizard, Necromancer subclass, and equip him with a Greatsword.

i'll try the game out once i finish dead island 2 and we'll see from there what i think of this

If you do something that goes against your code / promises / oath, you can become an oathbreaker paladin which is pretty death/hell knight ish
