It's less than a week until release. Major guidelines for those who interested:
  1. Stay away from /v/rpg/. In fact, do it constantly
  2. Jewtube will be infested with soyboys screaming how great and heckin' auwesum it is. Solution - do not recommend the channel
  3. Postpone visiting this thread until 2 weeks after release
I wonder how volume of the game will change from early access. It's already 50+ gb
I'll also add to anybody who is interested in the game:
1. Pirate the game first before buying. Just because you have like the devs previous works in the past doesn't mean that they won't turn on you and release a bad product. We've seen this time and again with game devs where they were the greatest thing since sliced bread and the saviors of gaming than they release a product that is a broken and overhyped piece of shit. Don't keep falling into this cycle.
2. Don't trust people who were given early access copies of the full game. These were people hand picked by WotC to shill for the game and give it glowing praise. Wait until a YouTuber you trust gets a copy of the game and gives you their thoughts.
3. Be sure to spoiler tag anything about the game that will be considered spoilers for those that haven't played it yet. A lot of people don't like being spoiled about something even if the finished product is bad.

It seems to be around 150 Gb, based on the requirements.

One thing I want to add, is that Jewtube algorithms rely a lot on liked videos. If you truly like something, save it in a separate library but never press like on the video.
My liked videos section is empty and my homepage is usually stuff from subscriptions or wildly random shit. Also, as a nice little bonus, no fucking mixes.
This way, you won't be spammed with soyfags and their clickbait titles of "10 things you didn't know" or "5 things you must do".

Another dumb little suggestion, watch on incognito windows and without login in anything related to a topic you care about but don't wish to see everywhere, the mere act of watching a few videos from Baldur's Gate 3 will make the algorithm recommend more and more and there is a very high risk sooner or later something you don't like will appear on your featured. Basically never watch anything on your main account related to something you fear for spoilers, unless it's something super viral, it shouldn't appear in the generic youtube homepage.

Experience may vary, but I watched plenty of BG3 and DnD nerd shit on my main account and my homepage never had anything related to them. It only featured videos from subscribed channels or random crap.
You're free to do as you wish, but my recommendation was based on my own experience, not something I just pulled out of my ass. How about you give it a try before you run your dick holster next time?

Whoa there faggot, I was just giving an additional suggestion to avoid issues, not shitting on your proposals. Have a coffee and chill for fucks sake.

The thing I don't get with Dark Urge is why isn't this a part of the base game. Like its obvious the MC is a Baalspawn and that's why he is the special one, and dark urges came to express it. My only guess is that turning it off is some sort of "Trigger Protection".

I think spoiler wise I just want to know how viable a "good guy" run of dark urge is.

The best part about Dark Urge is when your character will say "IT'S DARK URGIN' TIME" and you will dark urge all over everyone.

All we know is that it's related to Bhaalspawn and you'll have to pick when to coom dark urge or else, due to a form of karmic dice, you may not have a choice later on.
Sorry that's all I got, but as a consolation prize, here's some red horny semen demon (Karlach)

probably because Durge isn't Bhaalspawn, that character has an entirely different predicament (being controlled by Sceleritas Fel) which explains why that character has sadistic impulses, we don't know in what way the player character being Bhaalspawn is going to manifest itself when it comes down to player agency; Durge can basically choose for you whenever it wants and i understand why the developers wouldn't want the default player character to be locked to a similarly mandated evil playthroughs as well because they already have that option with Durge.

My only guess is that turning it off is some sort of "Trigger Protection".
they put bestiality into the game and all sorts of really dark subject matter and bleak imagery in the game, it isn't so much that they're worried about the content as much as they want people to come across that content on their own volition, this game supposedly has consequences and reactivity but if the game chooses for you (because you're Bhaalspawn) then that sort of interactivity means jack shit because those options are reserved for the Origins (sans Durge) while ideally the player character should be the blankest of slates to build on.

there's two ways you can go about this: the Dishonored route where you get a good ending based on being merciful or a bad ending for killing everyone or The Last of Us II route where the game throws "ludonarrative dissonance" into your face and gives you zero options but to kill and torture everyone around you in order to progress and then call you a piece of shit for doing so.

I'm going to guess it's for the role players. If I was playing as a Paladin or some lawful good type and then the game makes me want to murder a orphan out of nowhere it's going to make me have a meltdown because it doesn't fit the idea of the character I'm playing as.

@Estate You were right bro about the kind of community this game has created and why a sane person should have nothing to do with them and stay far away from the community if they have any interest in this game.

You know normally im not fond of the good guy demon trope, but I appreciate that she looks kinda like hellboy and her race is afflicted with a curse that makes them look like that.

I want to say it's a shitpost, but considering the mental illness of that shithole site, I'm not so confident.
Also, if you want to, it would be a good post for reddit community watch.

Based on Early Access, it seems her backstory was that she ended up in Avernus and fought in the Blood War, on the frontlines, for 10 years. She also has an artificial heart, and if it's made of gold, you could literally say she's a devil (tiefling) with a heart of gold.
I personally like this character, it ticks a few checkboxes for me in relation to high fantasy and women.

But to circle back a bit at my discussion with PaladinBoo, if you were to visit "za community", then you'll only get faggot shit like "dommy mommy" or "step on me" or some other form of worthless maggot-talk, when it comes to this character. Actually, it happens to all characters, but you get the point.
This is why, a community where you can't openly tell someone "kill yourself you fucking aids faggot" is a community I never want to take part of.

One hundo fucking GB. Do they have hand-painted 4K textures or something on every prop in the game?

Holy shit modern day game bloat is fucking terrible.
Nobody optimizes or compresses anything anymore, just buy a better GPU and bigger hard drive is the mantra. I'm betting a lot of that is all the sound files and cinematics. If there's really a hundred hours worth of content in there as they say, that's a fuckton of conversations in there.

Wouldn't it be the opposite? The whole point of being good is that you have the alternative and you willingly choose not to engage in it. If anything it adds to the game by not locking you into a single alignment path ans making you confront adversity in your choices.

Large amounts of it are probably uncompressed sound files and cut scenes.

The recent COS games have all had 30+ GB of audio files alone.

Yes I agree for the most part but I bet some people don't want adversity in their choices. They want to play as a person so good that they are never temped by evil at all.
