But I have played a lot of Battletech with the MechWarrior rpg component, Robotech rpg, Shadowrun, Cyberpunk, and homebrew d20 shit and while shit could get outlandish and weird, nothing ever went to weird sex fetishism shit.
I saw a bunch of this kind of posting on Something Awful's Traditional Games forum, where I saw at least one claim that if their mom played a Paladin they made sure that she was raped so she'd Fall.

So I'm getting a lot of goon vibes from the insistence that weird sex shit is common in this thread.

That makes ne wonder what would have been the reaction if it was the druid shapeshifting into a 13 year old girl
have you seen mainstream journos reaction to sound of freedom recently?

but it's a retarded argument anyway, same people who conflate it with 1000 year old mind in a child's body (ever looked at a petite asian of legal age?) apparently have no issue with a child's mind in a 1000 year old body, which is arguably worse...

This is exactly what the deal is, I was dumb enough to preorder the game because I was thinking about all of the RPGs I'd played over the years with friends and forgot that there were people who think bear fucking jokes are funny. Saying "it's just a joke"isn't as good a defense as they think because I wouldn't want to play a campaign DMed by some horny goofball like that. It'll also be full of puns.

Maybe it should have continued the joke with the druid killing you in bear form for trying it?
What would turn the bear fucking scene into an actual joke would be the druid being overcome by the animal nature of the bear and tearing the twink elf's throat out because that's what bears do when they have someone under them like that. Game over, maybe don't try fucking bears, weirdo. There you go, you get a bear fucking scene that's an actual joke and not furry fapbait.

in other news, Human's new unique racial bonus is a whopping +20 Carry Weight (confirmed by those who played the latest build at the panel) in case people were wondering whether Larian actually did despise the people who want to make a basic sword & board Human.

That is why people got "dare you enter my magical realm" vibes with this. If a DM did this with a table full of strangers he would have either been kicked out of the table or punched in the face. As a side note, I went back and looked at my old 3.5e supplement books and found this in The Book of Vile Darkness.

Even back in 3.5e they knew that this shit was a deviant fetish and the only people who did this are deviants.

A game set in Eberron would be great.
Dungeons and Dragons Online exists and isn't terrible even. Or used to be not terrible when I played ages ago. It is however a very old game that's showing its age. Also Dragonshards exists but we don't talk about that.

Fucking assholes. Let me make a boring human with a greatsword and hit shit with it.

In order to allow all your wildest dream class combinations, we've removed Ability Score Prerequisites. So there's no more need to get your Charisma up to a pesky 13 if you decide to make a soul pact with a playful archfey or dangerous fiend. You can Multiclass into anything your roleplay and build desires demand. In short, this means warriors will be able to wield arcane spells, rogues can master divine magic, spellcasters may dabble in martial prowess, and you’ll have the freedom to build the exact class that you want.
Why though?

That's a terrible idea gameplay wise. It will enable extreme level of munchkin play, which will make the game insanely easy with the right build. If the devs try to balance the game around that then it will be ridiculously hard for people who want to make normie builds (though knowing current year, the devs will probably expect everyone to use a broken build from the internet).

Also really fucking bad for actual roleplayers since those requirements have logical roots. But guess the fey need to consider the feelings of trannies with negative charisma.

Also that human plus carrying capacity is ridiculous. It doesn't make any logical sense unless it cones with strength modifier. But hey, you got to play special shit. Can't wait for the "human supremacy" mod that will be removed for racism.

My guess of why is they making Divinity original sin 3 with D&D flavor. Also, can't wait for mod buffing humans as well. Like +2 to all attributes and extra ability per level

I did some research and I gotta give them some credit. Dark urge path actually looks interesting to play, as it appears it allows you to gruesomely waste anything and anyone you come across.

The big caviot of course is that is a constant force beckoning you to do evil shit, and I have no idea how selective you're allowed to be when using it. Best case you can just use it to kill every evil/degenerate you come across.

Worse case it could be completely uncontrollable murder fetish roleplay. There is the option to fight the urge, but I dont know how much of that is up to the dice after you use it a couple times.

I have confirmed It is 100% possible to kill all your party members and go it alone.

I don't know, I like munchkin play, and I'm pretty hopeful that I can cheat in more skill points.

10 levels sounds really restricting. In a tabletop game, you can shoot arrows and stuff more carefully, but in a game your abilities are much more important.

Especially with the already restrictive spellslot resting/usage of DnD wizards compared to lets say a wizard from Diablo that can shoot a lot of shit. Propably less of an issue if you make a melee fighter.

I

100 hours of content could just be PR speak for having to play through the game a dozen times to see it all.
You can already get an easy 30 hours out of the current EA, which doesn't even have the full first act, and is supposedly only 1/4th of the game's content.

But, yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if a regular play through is actually closer to 50 hours. Larian's games tend to become more and more rushed after the first act, though hopefully the long development time for BG3 will at least partially remedy that.
