I dunno. I don't miss a lot of old school tattoos, but then again where I grew up most tattoos were homemade or (worse) prison affairs, concocted with sewing needles, india ink and jello for colors. What was an aspiring midwest white trash teen to do without the wobbly girlfriend/boyfriend's name indelibly scrawled somewhere it had to be specially concealed at their wedding ten years later to someone else, the dumb nickname tattoo like 'chester the molester', or the ever charming groin scrawl with big arrows pointing downward with some variation on 'eat me'. Just finally getting a tattoo parlor in town was a relief because deformed looney toons characters were a step up.God Lord WTF happened to tattoos? A simple heart that says Mom, and anchor, or a Bible verse on the shoulder used to be enough for most normal people,
Nowadays people pay a lot more to be trashy I guess.

This woman received a lot of press for her failed eye tattoo. Luckily she was smart enough to stop when the first eye went bad, but she had significant loss of sight in that eye.
This woman went completely blind in one eye and is on her way to blind in the other.
This guy had his done by someone who frequently performed the procedure but injected undiluted ink into his eyes. He lost his eye.
And I don’t know the stories behind these last few images, but I’d say there’s a good chance they might’ve lost their eyes. Best case scenario they’re blind.

The before was in 2017, the article was published in mid 2019. I suspect a weird boyfriend entered her life somewhere between the first and second picture.
My favorite, because it tells a powerful and personal story from someones life unlike leopard print, blue eyeballs and chinese characters.

i don't get why people fuck with their eyes. You have those idiots who went to India or somewhere to have permanent color contacts inserted, and every one of those tards has lost significant eyesight, some are totally blind or lost at least one eye. To change the color. It doesn't even look real. But to let some one tattoo your eyeball! I hope none of these people are on the wait list for cornea transplants. They deserve to be blind, imo.

I have a feeling she’s just another product of too much attention from the internet. Each tattoo she got she was getting more hyped up and more subscribers/money, especially more extreme ones like her face and eyes, so she keeps pushing the envelope without taking a moment to realize how this will impact her later in life. She just craves the attention and will keep chasing it til she’s old and the next young thot steals the spotlight and no one cares about her tattoos anymore. Then she will either work at hot topic or turn to meth. There’s no third option.
