Well, we can meme about the 'all asians look alike to white people' trope but i'll just fall on that sword and ask directly - what distinguishes her as definitely thai? Is it her browbone/nose structure, or is there more there?

Primiarly nose brow, but also skintone typically distinguishes you from being from further south, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines. Lisa from Blackpink is also Thai, but before debuting had work done.

It's fucked.

Her surgeon is notorious for fucking up people's boob jobs etc. You can read about it here, where a russian has helpfully translated a lot of important information. He sent Anastasiya death threats after she told her userbase about her botched surgery. The plan was for her to get a reduced price due to the publicity she'd bring the surgeon, but after she told everyone he was a butcher, he sent her threatening shit like this:

The surgeon is known to be on Instagram in the MIDDLE OF SURGERIES and lie about who he's worked on.

he graduated by paying for his degree; that year there was a scandal at the med school and it lasted two years before it was resolved, students were bribing for their license to operate, basically.

he's a genuine horrorcow in his own right. he's left himself a RUSSIAN SHITLOAD of good reviews as sock puppets.

He goes into forums where he's mentioned and argues with women he's never met. (he's searching his own name constantly). His Instagram gets purged of any comments by women whose personal photos he's stolen. he reposts their images and claims he operated on them, then blocks them.
he's been banned from multiple forums for threatening people who are talking about the botch jobs he's done on them:

also, the operating theater. at first I thought well hell, it IS Russia, they may have some sort of different attitude, standards might be lax, etc.

a doctor or three in this Russian forum explain very clearly (all things considered with the shit translation) exactly how filthy he is.

and there are a ton of infections, complications and other images floating around to back up his lack of skill.

he's apparently violent and rages at anyone that doesn't kiss ass after he's worked on them, and cancels operations if someone asks any questions before the day (lucky people!)

I wish I had the time and finesse and Russki translation chops to build a thread on him in here: that one nose is just the tip of the rotten iceberg. If I had time I could try to find his actual chimpouts, but he deletes fast as hell. it'll take me days to find that, but it's out there.

The lady that pumped bums full of caulk in improvised apartment surgeries appeared sketchy as hell, the consumer protection of "don't be an idiot" applies there, but this guy comes off as a surgeon and astroturfs his clinic/practice with positive reviews. Horrible.

you could look way better than that at 70 if you manage to stick a real workout routine for life. remember jack lalanne in his 90s before he died? he still looked early 60s then and never had dementia or anything. plastic surgery is the devil's shortcut for people trying to avoid hard work.

I'll do both. To be honest Lalane sounds kind of like he was blowing some smoke to sell his fitness stuff, and he looks similar to other celebs who have had tasteful upkeep (not the shit shows here) with retinoids, fillers, resisting photoaging, and botox. A cursory investigation makes it seem like I'm not the only person who is really skeptical.

I can see why facial/other exercises might help in some respects but the property of the skin itself is pretty critical. A good diet and exercise can contribute, but keeping your collagen in good condition by either genetics or with retinoids can help a lot. Ever heard "black don't crack"? There's a reason:

no, collagen is too big to penetrate the skin. You usually get a temporary "plumping" effect though, which can temporarily fill in really fine lines and such, due to hydration and sometimes other stuff like low molecular weight hyaluronic acid.

Clinical trials show that you need a retinoid concentration of .025 or better for wrinkle improvement. OTC variations using "retinol/retinyl" often contain a lower concentration that may not work or may not bind to retinoid receptors and in fact it seems they work approximately as well as placebos. From the above link:

Unfortunately, topical retinyl propionate cream (0.15%) did not demonstrate any statistically significant improvement over placebo in any of the evaluated histopathological or clinical symptoms of photoaging.

Newer variants using combinations of retinols may be effective, but in order to be OTC the retinol concentration has to be extremely low and I am really skeptical of the efficacy. You could try adapalene gel which is now available in the US otc, but it is a less flexible derivative of vitamin A and only binds to two retinoid receptors instead of three.

You can dig through that paper above to see if there's anything that stands out but as it is tretinoin is the most-investigated retinoid for anti-aging and until further evidence comes out on other derivatives I recommend it the most strongly.

Enough of my sperging about dubious chemicals though. Check out these people that got permanent damage from CO2 ablative treatments: Basically, permanent hypopigmentation. They got additional treatments that kind of fixed it but you can definitely still see the stripes.

The black skin thing is really interesting so I'll add something about the properties of the skin and the perception of it, this is purely from a visual standpoint.

Everyone knows about sunlight and vitamin d, UV light penetration converts a thing into vitamin d through a biochemical process I won't pretend to understand. Light skin evolved in places with less intensity in the sun so more sunlight needs to be absorbed, dark skin evolved in places where less sunshine needs to be absorbed(it blocking more UV light is also important). Nothing unfamiliar so far.

All of that makes white skin more transparent by necessity compared to black skin and this shows up visually. While the observer might not think about it consciously the brain processes it.

We're going with ears on this one, they're an easy and extreme example of a place where light can pass straight through and it shows the color it carries, but it applies to skin as a whole(nostrils and hands are other easy to notice areas).

Not a great example, this is a render from DeviantArt and not a proper photograph. Turns out "black ear" is a headphone manufacturer or something and the other picture I found was from an angry Tumblr post screaming about how black people have human skin as well.

Models with different shader/skin properties. Look at the ear again, more light is blocked by the darker skin and this applies to the entire body, this is realistic enough to serve as an example.

With age the skin gets thinner, blood vessels contracts, and how light interacts with it(and in it) changes and this also changes the color of the light bouncing back. So in addition to sagging/wrinkling it also looks a bit more grey because some of the red is disappearing. It looks more parchment-like, something that separates it from youthful, healthy skin with that "healthy glow" or whatever the fuck ladies magazines calls it when they encourage people to rub bananas on their faces.

Not so much with black skin that always blocked a lot of light, there was always less of a "glow" and it throws a wrench in our deep-seated and ape-like snap judgement of if it looks healthy or frail/sickly.

What I'm saying is that bananas are useless, if you're old an white, keep a light bulb in your mouth.
