Tsubasa Chronicle. Which honestly wasn't terrible, just kinda bland and generic compared to the manga it was based on. The opening fucking slaps though.

I wish Xam'd was even a tenth as cool as its opening makes it seem. The effect is lost somewhat without the actual opening sequence, but there isn't a good version of it on Youtube.

Death Parade OP was straight-up false advertising and I feel cheated to this day.

(ETA: Not bad. Just mediocre especially since there was a set-up for a second season that never happened so none of the questions or loose ends got resolved.)

Some wily nip included an instrumental snippet of this shit in some sorta "automario does nico nico douga mashup" 15 years ago and I still think about several of the songs I heard there to this day despite never watching any of the shows.
Edit: video link was kill.

Última edición:

This turned out to be coomer bait

The show was extremely boring but damn that theme song.

Well, it's always been shit, but the openings after that were an coin toss between sounding generic to whatever the fuck this is supposed to be

That's not chinese cartoons you gimp.
Yes, but it's been filmed in Kiwi-Land so it counts as something that's worth mentioning.

Don't even bother with Shitsugou, just don't. The OP was the only thing worth watching and even so, we believed what they said, and discovered too little, too late they lied.

Buddy Complex. A 2010s Sunrise mecha anime that really couldn't tell what demo it wanted to aim for, and really failed to hit any. Like, the show couldn't decide if it wanted to be a yaoibait show, and even the main gimmick the robot has is named after the Japanese term for BL pairings (Coupling). But it sorta half-asses it and never goes beyond the most basic of teases. But it's also got a straight romance that just feels very by the numbers. The main plot is also sorta all over the place and it all never really meshes. The drama behind the main antagonist is great though. A man who was literally cucked so hard that he went back in time to fuck with the MC and conquer the world in a quest to get his past self some pussy. Pretty cool fights and mecha design as well.

The opening is a really catchy tune at least. I find myself humming it a lot.

Kurozuka isn't great but it's better than mediocre so maybe it doesn't technically fit, but oh well:

Skeleton Knight in Another World. The anime is fun and edgy, but not memorable whatsoever. What is is the OP, which is absolutely metal, and I want Dragonlord to give us a German cover lol

I like the show more than most, but I suspect that for a lot of people Elfen Lied & Lilium would qualify.
