You could tell me that was viral marketing for a horror movie and I'd believe you.

Sometimes I feel like some cosplays are really just chosen specifically because they want to get off on an exhibitionist kick.

wow it's almost like some women want a way to be ogled by literal thousands of men but not get things stuck up their asses on video.

I think anyone who wants a career in modeling but isn't quite good enough has a home run second option in pro cosplay.

"I am creating art"
"I am not wearing booty shorts and a cut-off tank top so you can ogle me. This is a heartfelt tribute to a video game that I have probably never played."

I will never understand this hypocrisy. Is there legit mental illness involved in showing off your boobs and asscheeks and expecting any other kind of reaction?
Yeah. It's called "attentionum ho-ititis".

But, honestly, a lot of cosplayers do this. They dress up as hyper-sexualized video game characters, modify the costume so it shows off their boobs even more than it does in the game and parade around conventions hoping to get noticed by a game publisher/developer but, y'know, don't you dare treat them as an an object.

:stress:

I've been thinking about making a thread on a former video game "journalist" who tried to use her position to serve as a platform that allowed her to be the "voice" of cosplayers. She thought of herself as a professional and expected other folks in the industry to treat her as a professional, even when she was running around in a fucking costume with her boobs hanging out.

She has Laura Crofts signature "pulling my ass cheeks apart" pose down pat. Very artistic.

I wonder what's worse: people doing sexy cosplays who dont have the body to pull it off, or those who do it well but insist that theyre not doing it for attention and demand to not be sexualised when theyre the ones sexualising themselves.
If you want to show off and be a Dumb Thotticus then fucking do it, just don't act offended when greasy nerds are cumming over you

i lied

What's even more hilarious is some of them like to think themselves as sex workers for some reason? Either you're a dumb nerd playing make believe for a few hours or a garden variety cam hoe. You can't have both.
