I admire Jake Bannon's work for its simplicity and distinctive style. He was kind of a trend-starter for the messy skulls-with-wings look.

Mastodon has always had fantastic album covers.

And Cult of Luna - Eternal Kingdom might be one of the best I've ever seen, because when I hear the last song on the album, I can't help but see in my mind this owl-beast towering above a northern forest...
