Got my tickets for Thursday, April 25th. I'm invested, and I can't wait. Even started an MCU "marathon" last night; going to watch one film a night before Endgame.

Tickets in my area sold out within minutes. I managed to grab two seats for the second to last screening that night. Some of my friends asked me if I could "organize" a get-together, but I completely abandoned that, as I was lucky to get the two tickets. It was every man for himself. lol.

Not sure why some people scoff at Marvel. Nothing is perfect, but it beats most of the other stuff Hollywood puts out.

And as long as you turn off your brain and stop thinking of things in terms of anti-male this or that, it’s actually very enjoyable.

I'm okay with turning my brain off, but when I do I expect things to follow in a manner that isn't head-scratchingly stupid. Alas, that is the direction the MCU has taken, so I find myself wondering how some of these movies get completed with such glaring logical mistakes and just plain dumb decisions made in them. Older action movies didn't raise nearly as many questions on the subject even when I view them today.

As for Endgame, I'll watch it as the final leg of the Marvel journey for me. Unlikely to watch it in the first week, and I've never felt the need to pre-order tickets before release so I'm not about to start just for this.

Otherwise I might watch a Doctor Strange 2, but I've reached my limit on their other properties.

I'm just going to wait two weeks to see it. Its not like its going anywhere.

In my case, there would be no way for me to avoid spoilers beyond opening night (let alone opening weekend).

I am going to a convention with friends literally the day after I see the movie. I have zero trust for the exceptional fanboys/fangirls who will be there to keep their mouths shut.

Stopped watching Marvel movies around the time the first GotG came out. Too late to start back up now.

Of course, I'll probably be first in line for the animation mines when Disney takes over and deploys the happiest drones on Earth to round up dissidents, but oh well.

Looks like the Marvel fanboys crashed Cineplex's website, but I remain unconcerned. I will go see it in my own damn time and will likely read the spoilers because I don't care about them.

"I'm not going to go see Black Panther 13."
In the polluted suburbs of New Mickey City, a drone resembling a floating Mickey Mouse head turns its eerie, smiling gaze towards you, settling just above head level.
You hear a slight rattling click and are blinded by a flash as the drone takes a picture of you from a hidden camera behind its opaque face. This is a death sentence as you will be forcefully recruited into the animation mines. The Captain Marvel Combine shall escort you there shortly.

I would find it amusing if this was some grim imitation of the comic book speculation crash business model and most of these are going to scalpers who will end up taking a bath in them.

The AMC Theatres site is buckling under the load. It's like it's getting DDOS'd. If you can get a connection, it loads super slow https://www.amctheatres.com/

Edit - My wife was waiting the Fandango queue on their site. Then when it let her go to buy tickets, she got an error. She tried the app and got in no problem, no queue and got tickets.

The new TV spot/teaser that was released this morning was pretty great. I smiled when Tony hugged Pepper, and I smiled when Tony and Steve shook hands.

However, the part when Tony looks at a picture of him and Peter and the part when Rocket and Nebula hold hands ... GAHHH. ALL THE FEELS.

Anybody see the new clip (it's basically a part of the clip that was talked about at the shareholders meeting)?

War Machine says to Captain Marvel what all of us were thinking: "Where the hell have you been all of this time?!"

I have a feeling that Carol might get nerfed by Thanos at some point in the movie, especially since the new clip also includes her saying "This will work, because you have me now," giving the audience a false sense of hope early on. If I'm correct on this, then god bless the Russos!
