Beginning of the end of the MCU I think. Not unless X-Men and Deadpool can breathe some new life into it.

After this movie, I don't see how any more team-up movies would get people's interests. This is truly the "grand finale" of the Avengers movies.

Let's see, there's Spider-Man, Black Panther, and ... Maybe Thor? But even then, I think people would be more invested in their solo movies.

I think in order to continue interest in these Avengers/team-up movies, they've got to incorporate the X-Men and finally give those characters the adaptations they deserve.

Finally introducing Magneto, Doctor Doom and Galactus as new antagonists will work wonders for the MCU. Not unless they massively fuck this up of course.

They already did that with Spider-man, so who's to say they won't change the X-Men to being weird alien royalty or something equally as stupid. The Holocaust in the MCU never happened, so there's no reason for Magneto to be buttmad, yada yada yada...

It depends on how it's handled because I feel if the MCU keeps going at the rate they are then they'll be successful but if they go the way of Lucasfilms they'll fuck up hard.

New trailer is out:

Why does it look like Black Widow has red hair in the poster when the last movie and what has been featured in the trailers, her hair was blonde?
?

Confession time: I haven't been keeping up with my capeshit movies. Last MCU movie I watched was Doctor Strange and that pretty much killed my interest after they let Dormammu be defeated with the power of memes. And although it doesn't apply to this situation, only DC movie I watched was Suicide Squad, and that's only because it was during the KFMN a while back.

That said, this doesn't really inspire much interest in me either. Only way I will give a shit is if mah boi Hulk shows up again and runs ham on Thanos. Also, I want Hawkeye to have a decent role in this because he was the only decent part of Age of Ultron IMO.

As for the future of MCU - I am fully expecting Disney to Princessify the MCU from here on out. Iron Man will be replaced with RiRi Williams, Thor will be replaced with FemThor, they'll probably keep Hulk around until they introduce She-Hulk, and Cap A will be replaced with Cap M. Boy, I'm... wholeheartedly unexcited.

Anyway to those invested, I truly hope you enjoy the show.

First off, loved the trailer. I love the marketing for this movie; they ain't showing much, and that's a good thing.

I love where Tony's character arc is going with this. He became Iron Man by using his intelligence to get out of captivity. He's going to need to do the same in space. Love it. Absolutely love it.

In regards to Captain Marvel's place in this film, I am cautiously optimistic after hearing an interview from the Russos from last year (I found this interview last night, actually). Some nerd asked them about Adam Warlock, and they confirmed that he will not be a part of the movie. After the Russos confirmed this and acknowledged that it wasn't going to go down like the comics, the nerd then asked "How are the remaining Avengers going to win then?"

The Russos then responded with an answer that makes me happy: "We're not going to have some new, overpowered character be the one to defeat Thanos. We're going to ask the audience to root for the characters that they've grown to love over the past decade."

Hopefully the Russos won't go back on their word just because a "strong wamen character" is in play now. Seriously, once Thanos is done, my excitement for the MCU isn't going to be anywhere near this strong. I'll still check out Spidey movies, but other than that? I feel like this is truly the end of the franchise. Would be a real damn shame if they dropped the ball on this one.
