Autocad and its woes - Or how I learned to stop worrying and tried to pirate everything

Hello Chaps,

I come to you in my hour of need.
I have tried and failed many times to crack autocad for personal use to no avail.
The piracy subreddit told me to buy it other forums were full of pajeets and people of taco sending me weird links

So I come to the only free place left in the world with a simple question:
How do I get autocad for free?
Is there way to pirate it?
Any good softwares for mostly 2d use?

FreeCAD is a thing.

If you're afraid on clicking on a link because it's in jeetspeak or taco language or vodka language then pirating isn't for you. You have to take some risks every now and then and click on a sketchy URL when pirating.
t. been pirating shit since I was 12.

As for the thread title. I would like to say that solidworks electrical is the worst niggerware that mankind has ever created. That is all.

In the modern era, autodesk’s whole software suite is highly integrated with their cloud infrastructure. Even if you got a copy of a recent version, you’d need to figure out how to get it to ignore the cloud shit that’s supposed to be there, which would not be an easy task. It’s a similar problem to cracking the drm of a video game, except that in this case the drm does add some minor functionality. In any case, Autodesk does give free access to a gimped version of their software, so if you’re just doing some simple hobbyist stuff, you can get by with that.

I used FreeCAD for a fairly big personal project around when they first released their big version 1.0 UI refresh and it was pretty good. It had a lot of functionality baked in, along with a whole library of extensions that brought in some pretty cool stuff. It did have a habit of crashing a fair amount, or occasionally loading parts with fucked up dimensions requiring a reload or restart, but that may be on me, I was doing some funky stuff. They’ve had a few releases since then, as well, so stability may have improved.
