Autistic Culture Movement / Neurodiversity

Oh no, I forgot to celebrate Autistic Pride Day this year!

Meanwhile we have this exceptional individual celebrating by sweeping public property on a scooter.
That kid looks like he's going to fall right onto his inventive mind.

That kid looks like he's going to fall right onto his inventive mind.
It's not like it'll make him any more retarded.

Better idea;
Let's not have a day celebrating pride or hatred for something that is an actual problem.
Autism awareness is fine because it's about bringing attention to the problem, not celebrating pride.
I agree. We should hold off celebrating until after we quarantine and sterilize the autistic menace.

Real talk though, why do autistic people in this neurodiversity movement act like it's a pride thing? Like... homosexuals don't have tremendous difficulty learning how to act in society because they're gay. At worst they might get some therapy for feeling guilty about their homosexuality but that's about it. A lot of autistic people really need help to learn how to be independent.

We really need to back off this "don't call us a disorder" trainwreck, it's going to leave some people who need serious help to not have access to that because of some HFA's fee fees.

This is just one of those things were all you have to do is swap out 'autism' with any other neurological disorder and realize how stupid it is to want to pretend that it isn't a god damn disorder.

Here's a list of different disorders to help you all out. Just insert them into the blanks in the sentence, and make your very own disabled culture movement!

______ is not a disorder, people with ______ have their own culture and don't want to be cured!

______ therapy is often unethical, and _______ genes should not be eliminated!

The very notion of "curing" _______ is offensive!
Support the ________ Culture Movement!

Alzheimer's
Epilepsy
Down's syndrome

Tourette’s Disorder
Dissociative Fugue
Schizophrenia
PTSD
Bipolar Disorder

Encopresis
Multiple Personality Disorder
Anorexia

Enuresis
Major Depression
Hyperactive Sexual Desire Disorder

Oh wait... scratch that last one.

Now then, this is the time I'd just type "autism", right before fisting myself with hydrocholoric acid and jumping off of a cliff, but today, I'm not gonna make that mistake.

The reason is because autism is a thing that cannot be changed about somebody, and is regarded as a negative attribute, which it actually is for some people. With it being considered a negative attribute, people try to take pride out of the problem, and attempt to turn it into a positive thing, which is a damn shame. Autistic people need help, not pride in their issue.

Really, guys? We're really going after autistics as a whole? Individuals on the spectrum are people as well. Just because some wires in the brain are fucked up doesn't make them any less of a sentient, breathing human being. To be honest, I actually forget I have a spectrum disorder ninety-nine percent of the time. It doesn't define me. Any one who thinks otherwise can go fuck themselves.
Sometimes I forget that i'm completely retarded. Maybe it's because I'm completely retarded.

I'm just going to say that "Alzheimer's" is the clear winner here

But if we remove the stigma behind all of these conditions, what will the snowflakes self-diagnose themselves with to make themselves feel special and different?
