Just thought I'd create an Australian food general thread: Halal snack packs, meat pies, chiko rolls, dim sims, Passiona & parmas, all the good stuff:

Just to start off, Kraft have released a premium limited edition edition of Vegemite:

I intend to purchase a couple of jars of this product as I typically use vegemite on a daily basis. I can't seem to find any of this new variant though. Can anybody else in Melbourne tell me where to find some?

Also, what's everyone's favourite misconstrued or despised Australian food? Mine is the Pluto pup. Much lighter in texture than the battered sav IMHO.

It appears that Kraft hasn't learnt from the disaster that was iSnack 2.0/Cheesybite.
Cheesybite is adequate, at best. This new version sounds interested but I'm hearing some conflicting reports about how piquant or flavoursome it actually is. I want to try it for myself, dearly.

I am dying to try making a Pavlova at the suggestion of a close aussie friend, anyone here knows if it's worth the hassle? Would like a second opinion about it. Also, is trifle worth it too?

I know some people think the Pav is actually Kiwi... but I keep getting told it is actually Aussie.

Isn't that human flesh and screeching? Also coopers red, green, or black. Or if you're a hussy, coopers strong?
Too dangerous atm, might catch covid

Red usually, sometimes pale or their summer/xpa

its decent, good summer desert, make sure you put a shitload of cream and fruit on it. it is pretty much just sugar and egg whites
