Further down in the thread theres a phone call with one of the company heads, he claims it was a clerical error. that this was an older short position from the previous month. there documentation to back that up as well. disappointing at best but hey, doesn't mean we shouldn't still read their website and notice anything of note.

fun thing about shorting is you don't need to own any shares. you're basically betting that the stocl will go down and you're "borrowing" shares or some shit.
