If he's not currently charged federally, he will be, since kidnapping is federal if it crosses state lines. The TV clip said 50 years, which from what I've read in other cases is pretty standard for federal kidnapping. Also, federal parole requirements have been tightened a LOT, so in a lot of federal cases there is a LONG wait in the can for parole. 85% of 50 years would be, what, 43 years or so? So, around 2063. Lifers in state cans usually die by 50.
