Audio Clipping is a great innovation that helps music stay at a consistent volume and makes music much more energetic. While ordinary songs usually have a climax and a buildup/filler part, audio clipping allows the otherwise boring filler parts to have some energetic thump in them. Some people complain about muh loudness war, but most people listen to music like this

not this

Anyways, this thread is to how Audio Clipping can improve the sound of music.
Example before clipping:

Example after clipping:

I only heard the shit louder, not improve quality or whatever.
Nice example using a Britney Spears song, faggot.
And i'm using earphones right now, and i can tell the difference of quality between mp3 and flac.

It can be used artistically and not just to make le funny deep fried audio.
Not that those two things have to be mutually exclusive. Some mix of both is fairly important to break- and speedcore as a whole, and it's a prerequisite for "internet music" genres like hyperflip where it's abused to the point of being intentionally unlistenable.

soft clipping/clipping plug-in

Overkill saturation

Or better yet:
Just have an understanding of LUFS of you want a consistent perceived volume.

Edit: not against clipping in post for a stylistic choice with plugins. If you're going above unity on your input fader though (actually clipping) that's absolutely haram for most instruments and VO/Vox tracks.
