War At This Point, If You’re Not Antifa, You’re Fa - Neutrality in the face of rising authoritarianism is not an option

It’s like the old saying goes: you can’t be neutral on a moving train.

Or, if you prefer the metaphor of the moving sidewalk at the airport, fine, go with that. The same principle applies.

You can stand there, exerting no energy and making no effort to go forward. But you will end up wherever the sidewalk seeks to take you, all the same.

Only if you turn and walk actively in the other direction, pushing against the force of the sidewalk, might you avoid that place.

So whether it’s the B and C concourses at the Detroit airport or the death of democracy, if you don’t want to go there, you’d best be prepared to make a decision once the ground starts moving.

It’s like the old saying goes: you can’t be neutral on a moving train
And when it comes to America, the ground is moving. It’s been moving for a while now.

Your refusal to acknowledge it doesn’t stop the ride.

I prefer not to acknowledge that I’m getting older or the aches and pains that verify, brutally, that fact. But the clock hasn’t stopped. And neither have the aches and pains, despite my stubborn desire to change the subject.

The insurrection was a deal-breaker

So here we are, in a nation where violent insurrection is being downplayed by half the country and even lawmakers who were hunkered down in the building under attack at the time.

Hell, some were actively running plays inside, entirely in line with the terrorists outside, threatening to kill their colleagues.

We now know they were sending texts to the President’s advisors advocating that the will of the voters in half-a-dozen states be overturned on behalf of their would-be Emperor God.

This is authoritarianism at its finest. It is fascism, American style.

And since the only factor clearly correlated with one’s participation in the insurrection was coming from a Census tract that had seen its white population share decline, it was a white nationalist coup attempt.

It was white rage and anxiety at the thought of a racially and culturally changing nation, all mixed together, in a political shit smoothie.

There is no middle ground, no neutral in the face of such things as this.

There is no room for, “Oh, I can’t be bothered with politics, so let me get back to my YouTube channel or my Instagram, or this cute little dance on Tik Tok.”

That way lies the death of a nation and an ideal.

There is only Antifa and Fa at this point.

It is time to pick a side.

You don’t have to like the tactics of everyone who uses the term Antifa to be Antifa. All it means is anti-fascist, after all. Which, by the way — and for the love of God, write this down — is why it’s pronounced Antee-FAH, as in anti-fascist, not An-TEE-fah.

If nothing else, at least get that part right. Like, seriously, even if you choose Fa, at least call the rest of us by our proper name.

There is only Antifa and Fa at this point
There are many ways to be anti-fascist, and they certainly don’t all include pouring into the streets or mixing it up with Nazis.

But it does mean taking a stand.

It does mean being willing to declare yourself implacably opposed to authoritarianism.

To declare yourself as Antifa, in other words.

Because the only other option is Fa. There is no door three.

The sidewalk is moving. It has already moved so far that the center has shifted dramatically. Even it would have been seen as dangerously reactionary 30 years ago.

Enough with your brunch pictures on Facebook, your makeup tutorials, your reality television.

Pay attention. To the reality. On your television.

Enough with the false equivalence

It is Antifa, or it is fa.

It is not, “Gosh, I don’t like either one; they both seem so extreme.”

Seriously, shut up. They are not the same.

One seeks to overturn democracy, and the other seeks to preserve it. One aims to maintain the hegemonic dominance of white, straight, Christian men, and the other seeks genuine pluralism and real equity of opportunity.

One seeks to “Make America Great Again.” The other knows there was nothing great about the America that the first group fetishizes. And so the second one aims to make it great for the first time.

And look, you can disagree with some of the ways that those currently calling themselves Antifa operate.

No problem.

Just like you don’t agree with everything America does, but you still call yourself an American.

Just like you might have voted for Joe Biden despite being thoroughly unenthusiastic about the Democratic Party.

Just like you can be enraged at the Catholic Church for how it’s handled the sexual abuse of children by priests but still pray the Rosary.

Just like you can be incensed by the actions of Israel but still consider yourself a Jew.

It’s the same principle here.

Just like you can be furious at your beloved Red Sox for trading Mookie Betts, but you still go to games at Fenway.

Whatever.

Just. Pick. A side.

Antifa or Fa.

Know this too: you have effectively chosen the latter if you don’t pick the former.

And neither the rest of us nor history will forget it.

I was just making a joke on account of how AntiFA is openly against freedom of expression, press, assembly and religion.

Fascism is the last ray of hope, the last white raging against the dying of the light.

Fash on, for we must exterminate the antifa or they will do it to us anyway. In Meinkampft, of course.

By all means, continue to make demands of me. You know how it thrills me.

If “fa” means the ones not telling me what to do, the ones being 100% fine with me having my own opinions and expressing them, the ones not using “white” as a dehumanizing slur, and the ones not dressing up in black uniforms with their faces hidden marching through the streets creating havoc and destroying things, then great, I pick fa.

I really don't know why leftists constantly compare Americans to Fascists anyway, it doesn't make sense from a psyop perspective because Americans don't have a strong familiarity with it the same way Americans do with Nazis. You say "Nazi" and I instantly know what you mean, you say "Fascist" and I tilt my head, even after reading the Fascist Doctrine, because the Fascist Doctrine is more or less just a series of attributes Mussolini and Gentile preferred people to have. The opening paragraphs to the Fascist doctrine are indecipherably empty word salad.
It's because they're communists. Even before WWII the USSR's proxies in other states put everything from Italian fascism and NEETSoc to even Social Democratic Parties under the common name of Fascism. The verbiage outlived the USSR in its satellite states and in academia, so modern day godless commies apply the same terms.

That's stupid, because it's meaningless to the average American. You'd think they'd at least use verbiage that Americans are familiar with. If fascism is just a collection of outsider beliefs with no real cohesive similarities, then does it even mean anything to them & why do they propose it's a bad thing?

Tim Wise and his ilk don't write to convince the average American, who's an incorrigible Lumpenprole anyway, but to signal to their own side and to threaten laymen who read it. Fascism to them exists on a spectrum and is everything that doesn't lead closer to communism. To your layman there's a difference between goosestepping stormtroopers sending undesirables to the camps and social democrats adding a social safety net in an otherwise capitalist economy, but both are counter-productive to wholesale societal deconstruction and communism. Ergo, everyone who isn't with them is either openly their enemy, will be their enemy but is hiding it tactically or is not actively helping them and therefore is suspect of being one of the prior two. Hence "cut a liberal and a fascist bleeds".

If being fascist means:

1. Putting an end to faggot riddled degeneracy that plagues society

2. Killing all crackheads who shit on the street

3. Purging the Antifa who feel it’s fine to burn down cities, assault elderly people and attack minors.

4. Getting a Hugo boss uniform.

Then Hiel Hitler, I shall get to work on looking for a way to bring him back to life so America can embrace Faschwave.

In all seriousness, I feel like hit pieces like this are glowies trying to get Americans to accept a full on police state if it means the law can be used to Un-person people like Timmy. What better way to make the concept of anti fascism less appealing when it’s used to attack the majority of the working class?

Tim Wise, egh?

On another note, hid claims that one can be Antifa and disagree with its tactics are dubious at best. I dare him to go and try to save an American flag ANTIFA is burning saying I am an American but disagree with its tactics.

I know this isn't what you wanted to bring attention to, but "consultant who provides anti-racism lectures to institutions" makes me laugh.

"Pay me, and I'll absolve you of your racism and you'll be known as 'anti-racist.'"

It's a better racket than the one Johann Tetzel and the Catholic Church had set up.

That's because Antifa doesn't actually stand for "Antifascist". Its German shorthand for "Antifaschisteaktion", or Anti-Fascist Action, the street thugs of the German Communist Party during the Weimar years. And much like today, anyone who wasn't Communist was a Fascist.

And yes, the Commies do hate Fascism because its Communism Done Wrong. Mussolini grew up in a Socialist family, was named after Socialist heroes, and got his start as a labor organizer among the marble worker's unions before he decided to implement a national form of socialism as opposed to the prevailing international socialism with which he had become steadily disillusioned.

Real, actual fascists - as in skinheads and Neo-Nazis - are hate-filled and awful people. And I want no part of that.

However, every example I have seen of Antifa makes them also appear to be hate-filled and awful people. And I want no part of that.

And since you’ve apparently decided that by trying to stand between the two hate-filled groups, I am somehow the worst of the three options, I am fine with being the worst of three options. You’re welcome to hate me - after all, you’re already hate-filled and awful anyway.

Asking me to pick between fascism (authoritarianism) and Communism (authoritarianism) is like asking me to pick between being shot or hung.

No thanks. I'm not joining a fascist cult that calls me a fascist for not joining.

You'd think they'd at least use verbiage that Americans are familiar with.
They do; 'racist', which is the worst thing you can be branded with in polite society. One thing you will inevitably hear communists whine and complain about is how Americans always throw around 'communist' and 'socialist' as a pejorative without actually knowing what it means, and the only reason they have a negative connotation to it is because they're brainwashed to hate communists and socialists. This is typical leftoid projection as that's actually true for nazism and fascism, education and pop culture barely touches on communism in comparison to how nazis are almost omnipresent as the ultimate bad guys. While throwing around fascist as an insult is more Eurocentric, it has enough of an association with nazism that it 'works'.

This article convinced me that I should reach out to a leftist relative so I can punch them in the mouth in Minecraft.

Liberalism is pretty much just a really stupid cult that took all the bad things from other religions and introduced them as doctrine.

Oh, neat. I get to bust out the Hermann Göring quote again. At the Nuremberg Trials, he said:

“Why of course the people don't want war. Why should some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally the common people don't want war: neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or fascist dictatorship, or a parliament or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peace makers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”
