I feel Talk To Staff is a bit too stuffy for some people feeling comfortable asking small or simple questions to moderators, and I also believe there could be some more levity between staff and users.

Try to avoid using this to interrogate about moderation decisions, like "Why was I banned?" since that's something that genuinely should be handled in Talk To Staff. Threads posted there will be treated with more urgency and seriousness. Generally.

Use this thread to ask us questions, serious or not, and we'll answer them accordingly to whimsy.

Why do people give a shit about Peaky Bloinders? Is it because Eggsbenny Cuminhersnatch (no I don't know the Oppenheimer guy's name you're all Cucumberpatch)? What even is a peaky bloinder? Is it a horse bloinder? Window bloinds? Going bloind in the eyes? And for that matter why does anybody give a fuck about the Bri*ish?

I often see replies being merely arguments between users that distract from the thread topic, frequently contributing to useless space in-between informative replies. The highlighted post feature is generally awesome at tackling this. Several kiwis contribute positively in some threads but can be a bit dastardly in others where they feel strongly about the topic in one way or another. Would a site feature such as "ignore user in this thread only" be something useful? How often or if at all are unrelated / retardedly argumentative replies pruned or does this depend on certain factors? I don't mind not ignoring people and I don't feel strongly about it either way, but I am curious as there are sometimes pages, half-pages, or a string of pages with interwoven petty beefing over retarded bullshit that is tangentially related to a thread but they're about each person's feelings rather than anything constructive or analytical about the topic. I suppose some of this comes down to what you care about reading. I don't actively contribute enough understand about how each board or thread is looked after, so I do apologize for my own ignorance on that matter.

What's the most unfunny post you've ever seen that was intended to be funny but completely missed the mark?
There was a lolcow that posted in his own thread. Louis Gagliardi. He would constantly say that Benny Hill "what happens when you assume" joke over and over as if it made him sound clever instead of insufferable.

Do people still attempt to run the table, or is that a game that faded away over the years?
I'm not sure what you mean.

Can I get some chinese pussy from a janitor
Anything is possible, but we need a Chinese mod for that.

What would you say was the most challenging decision you made as mod? How did you navigate it? Question is open for all mods
None come to mind, the hard decisions for me is just debating if I want to deal with a big effort or not.

Is trombo still alive?
She has been processed.

Why was I referred to this thread?
I would presume to ask mods a question.

How often do users get moved to spergatory?
It's usually when an argument goes on for too many posts.

Are y'all actually gay?
No.

I can understand a few of those words, but none of the important ones.

Do users DM you and pretend to want to be your friends? With the intention of obtaining information or getting you to do stuff for them
Just once. It's quite transparent. I just ignore them.

I suppose that would be nice, but I don't know how you would program that easily.

why doesnt q&a have access to polls?
The thread types are mutually exclusive. You cannot have a Q&A thread and a poll. However, a mod can change one to the other.

Just use the report function when it happens
