Ironic considering Shiva is considered the God of Destruction. Lore wise he is a man with great resilience but immense anger issues, so much so that he killed his children. The news is moreso reporting on shaivism vaishnavism. Those two are sects within the Brahmin class where one sect is dedicated to Shiva over Vishnu and vice versa. What the news seems to indicate is that there is an overrepresentation of Shaivaites in IT which is true, Im Shaivaite myself so I can attest to that. You can identify which is which with the forehead mark, if the forehead is marked with an E its a Shaivaite if its a U or V its a Vaishnavaite. The Kushans from Berserk are largely inspired by Shaivism.

Khalistan is a fictional separatist country which the Sikhs want for themselves after they were fucked over by the creation of Pakistan. Before 1947 the country of India was the Indian subcontinent. So Pakistan, Bangladesh and India were one country (I think Bhutan and Nepal too but dont quote me on that). Pakistan and Bangladesh were created at the request and militant opposition of Muslims, predominantly marxists, who wanted a country for themselves. So they were granted East and West Pakistan, currently called Pakistan and Bangladesh. The British were the ones who defined country borders based on arbitrary map lines drawn by administration, said country border of Pakistan cut through the Sikh Diasphora in Northwestern India. What followed was a massive ejection of Hindus and Sikhs from Pakistan once the Muslims took over, thousands of people forced out of the country leaving their property belongings some cases family etc. Pretty much the asian equivalent of the Nakba, equal in scale. The Hindus were integrated into India pretty peacefully with no issues, the Sikhs on the other hand were given only Punjab despite most of their cultural sites being in Pakistan now. This led to some Sikh Ultranationalists forming militant factions to agitate for the formation of their own country as they saw their minoritarian status in a majority Hindu country as a problem. Those people want what you call Khalistan. Generally the word stan translates to "land of" which is why Afghanistan is named that way and Hindu nationalists want India to be named Hindustan, I dont know what Khali translates to, Pakistan is an acronym of Punjab Afghan Kashmir and Indus stan (Its funny so many sjw Indian people from California say Pakistan is part of the Indian subcontinent when its now an extended state for the middle east. Its also funny that communists call Israel a colonial state just because it was formed after WWII when there were so many other places like Pakistan and Tibet which were colonized or formed after WWII.). Coming to Canada, I dont think Sikhs want to establish it in Canada but if they do its because Canada has cucked out to them and is essentially their whore, willing to serve their every demand.

As for the gypsies, who cosplay as "romans", they look genetically indian, but feral most of the time. While their behavior is jewish, I think its not from a genetic libk. Like ichtyosaurs and dolphins, convergent evolution.

If you met both, you'll know it. Some very put together gypsies could pass as a very dumb 'jeet, but most have a look and posture that screams feral animal like a hood rat, which I haven't seen in any true and honest indian or shikh, though I admittedly never saw a Paki up close to check.

I have some scientific curiosity as to why. My autistic guess is that they bred for mindless psychopathy. You can usually tell the two apart very easily thanks to the feral gleam in a gypsy's eyes.

It is almost like as if the gypsy is an alien wearing a jeet-suit, like in MIB.

I know which videos you refer to and I searched about it back in the day. I think those videos are from the big Sikh Golden Temple where apparently they just feed thousands of people for free everyday. So people just eat from a tray on the floor or something

To OP, what do you think about Sikhs? Are there many in your area? is it true Sikhs despite the good willing outer image still caste discriminate?

Theyre supposed to be transvestites similar to the roman and arab types, what history books refer to as eunuchs ie castrated males. I dont think theyre what we would call transgender in the modern day although there is a lot of overlap.

The one in the video is not the golden temple, the people in the video are brown and the floor is polished stone. The Golden temple is in Amritsar Punjab where the people are extremely light skinned and the floors are of marble or sandstone. Polished stone is something you would find in South and Central Indian Hindu architecture, sometimes in SEA like in the case of Angkor Wat.
As for Sikhs I dont really care, there are good and bad eggs like muslims. What I personally dislike is communitarianism/ethnocentrism where they behave like a community, whoever it may be. Sikhs dont caste discriminate but are more likely to behave like Jews in their monetary exploits. They on average will run like 3 businesses, will haggle a lot both for increasing/decreasing prices depending on the scenario and are likely to talk their way through anything with the added Sikh trait of extreme macho or overcompensation ie very standoffish. Theyre more likely to get ticked off by small comments as well. Theyre the ones with the turbans if that makes sense, muslims wear the fez hat or a monkey cap, Sikhs tie their hair with a cloth into a head bun.
 
My knowledge fmof most Indian deity comes from Smt and wikipedia pages.

Is it based?
I remember an Indian friend was surprised I knew about many Indian deities
