On the ED Support Forum, someone claims to have the lich queen's contact info and spoke with her landlord which confirmed her passing.

I am not a member of that forum so I cannot browse the poster's history to ascertain the authenticity of their claims.

I think I've heard of that happening, but isn't it people who have conditions that aren't always fatal and then they've made a partial recovery? Ashley was end stage and dying the whole time she was in hospice. She never made any significant health improvements, but she took forever to die because she was a cursed mummy.

I mean, home hospice is also a thing. I don't know who would've been paying for it in any case, home or inpatient.

Something that somebody might want to try digging into would be checking for any sort of court case regarding her estate, if she had anything at all that might've needed to be dispersed like a dinky savings account or something. She would be named as the decedent in such a case, and maybe her mom would be the one to collect her shit, such as it may have been. Depending on where she actually lived, that would likely be a county court case.

FYI: You definitely don't want to end up in a public-paid bed at a nursing home and have no one visit you to keep an eye on you. Your standard old lady or severely disabled adult can't defend themselves from abusive staff by being a wicked unliving ghoul that terrifies Haitian nursing assistants.

Lots of dying skellies get home nurse visits while living with family, but Ashley was totally alone (except online) for most of her adult life. It would be sad if she wasn't so horrible to other people. She earned her estrangement from everyone IRL.

They probably took her in and said "just look at her, she's gonna die at any moment" and she refused to die... They kept wondering when she was gonna crack and unintentionally, kept adding more months and years...

You can be on hospice for years, idk why there’s an assumption that you are only on it for X amount of time. My grandmother was on it for far longer than 6 months. You just get put on it if your disease is terminal,

She would've gotten that free from the federal taxpayer-paid Lifeline program, AKA "Obama phone". In addition to the actual federal subsidy, major cell phone companies bring the cost of the phone and the service down to zero for the poorest people. Like most US programs for the poor, it's a "partnership" between the feds and for profit companies that are getting money on both ends.

There aren't any federal programs for clothing, but there are tons of non-profits giving away clothes for free to the poor. Ashley could have gotten some, but I suspect she just used the money people gave her online to buy childrens clothes at Target. She had online wish lists that included gift cards.

I don't think we ever got a good idea of how much stuff and money she got from well wishers online. It was probably more than we'd think. She had plenty of consumerist stuff years ago when she wasn't in the nursing home. She probably bought her own wigs.

She could afford an "activity tracker" (Fitbit?) back in 2018 and it's not like she had a job. Imagine wasting your gifted money on a fitness tracker when you're a 55 lb wraith.
