I cant be shocked because Arthur was always the realm of like super conservative WASP-y, overbearing moms everywhere. My friend whose mom wouldnt let him watch movies with violence in it or play video games at all, period, the Jack Thompson, god fearing churchgoer type--the ONLY show she let him watch was Arthur.

This is like saying Veggie Tales has a new take on racism. Its like, yeah yeah, sure.
 
Remember how Arthur helped kids understand 9/11 by making a nuanced analogy by having their school catch fire? Remember how the characters felt a wide range of emotions from loss, to survivors guilt, to emotional attachment disorders, to imposters syndrome, and they all found different ways to cope with them? Remember how it took a National tragedy and put it in terms a kid could actually understand while still treating the situation with respect and not demeaning the kids? Kids are going to grow up someday are realize that there is more to racism than “it’s like a disease”, and that’s going to foster resentment when they find that their legitimate grievances are given infantile responses. Kids are going to grow up in an America where the black boy can wail on you and call you a cracker colonist, but the second he drops the gamer word he is all of a sudden the biggest bad guy ever. Hell we’ve been living in that world for the past 5 years. Why do you think Gen Zed is the rightest generation yet? I can’t wait to see to see what politics looks like in 10 years
 
Authoritarians all have this particularly twisted urge to indoctrinate children as opposed to persuading adults (from Lenin, to Hitler, to Mao, to Yvette Felarca). In fact, children's 'infotainment' and primary education is largely composed of these petty, right-side-of-history authoritarians who regard it as their 'moral duty' to insert their propaganda wherever possible. When the occasional attentive parent notices and objects to the propaganda of 'Timmy picked up a doll! He was trans all along!' or 'You might be infected with the racism disease!', The Woke either recoil and screech loudly that "this wasn't meant for you!" which is Secret Keeper/Child Molester reaction, or they accuse the objector of being a racist/anti-troon/thoughtcriminal.

When Progressives aren't trying to literally assfuck your kids, they're trying to mindfuck your kids.

Even if it's done under the guise of "education", I find something deeply wrong with anybody who creates an innocent, fun, modern-but-obviously-not-the-real-world setting for entertainment purposes, and then tries to inject major real world problems into it. Isn't the fact that this is a world where aarvarks, rabbits, and monkeys all live alongside each other and get along enough? Do we really have to add human racial tensions to it?

That's nothing new. I believe Germany had a similar program in the 30's-40's.

Lol, wtf. They're animals, they don't have race. Also the new animation style is ugly. Arthur is really becoming The Simpsons of children's cartoons.

Too bad normalfags would rather watch the bajillion reality tv shows out there instead of escapism entertaining shit. Otherwise shit like Jersey Shore and Anna Nicole Smith wouldn't have been as popular as they were back then.

All my family ever watches is shit thats either on WEtv, TLC, or anything else that airs stuff like "House Wives of (insert famous city here)", or any show that involves flipping/remodeling a house, or any show that involves auctions/collectors traveling to places buying old shit, or any "archaeologist" show where they find ruins and whatnot.

True, but wasn't Mr. Nezzer always portrayed as the vegetable equivalent of an older Southern black guy? With a character like that, I can get casting a black guy in that role.

Same if they cast John Cleese or Michael York in the role of Archibald Asparagus

How can you fucking tell? 90% of the animals in the show are brown.

Blacksad tries the same shit and it came off weird. Polar Region Ice Age White Nationalists and it had to be revised because the first draft included a Mammoth.

The only thing that works if you insist on having Animal characters is the Predator/Prey thing, but that would imply the humanized animals eat each other.
 
I always thought the idea of different animals was to avoid the concept of race altogether, like how in Doug, he was "white" but his classmates, friends, and neighbors were various shades of green, purple, and orange.
