There was an old 4chan drawing that I spent 20 minutes trying to find. Ratburn is in a bed with the principle and asks “can I have a raise?”
The response is “no”

It would be better to post it but the internet failed me.

I didn't realize they still made Arthur, I assumed it was being re-run since the 90s, like when 70s-80s cartoons would still be on when i was was a kid.

At least it's still "hand drawn" and not CGI

I watched this when I was kid...and they're still making new episodes?!
Arthur's actually the longest running children's cartoon in the U.S., and the second longest running U.S. cartoon period (you can guess what the longest running is).

Frankly, I'm just as amazed as you. It's like they just forgot to cancel it and it just kept going and going.

Kind of like how Milton kept getting a paycheck even though he'd be secretly fired for years.

This isn’t for children, it’s for tumblr manchildren who still watch cartoons and have not grown up.

Why do kids need to see this when gays, trannies especially, make up such an insignificant percentage of the population? Why teach kids about sexual content at 4?

Ftw, no troon Ratburn?????

Like to be god honest, I like these lessons of gay people being some familiar old nice characters/normal people you're silly to hate instead of people learning their gays via all kind of horrible piss stank freak LGBTQA245HFTUSHIT activists or interacting with progressive goblins who are at best making it look like that that gay people are weird freaks who wanna kids to go to drag shows and have piss fetish parties who turn decent people against gays because of that (that imho is fair). This seems like least cringeworthy way to introduce this topic in kid's show.

Tho tell me episode at least makes it interesting and has at least someone not accepting the wedding and some lesson about dealing with it, if this would have came out in season one I would bet there would be, now the show is imho mundane and boring and the characters aren't huge assholes all the time and learn in the end that they were in fact assholes.

That's fine, but I have a problem with retconning existing characters as gay. This screencap summarizes it better than I could:

Straight, gay, upstairs, downstairs or in a box by the door, marriage is still the worst mistake you'll make. Idealizing it to kids is just to make sure people keep paying into the economy of mistakes.

Well, let's see....Arthur is on PBS and reaches only so many people including who care about cartoon animal sexuality.

Endgame is on its way to being the biggest grossing movie of all time despite the above mentioned people reeing about lack of representation.

I'd say Marvel isn't doing to bad.
