I think the thing about Binky is he was portrayed as the bully, maybe a bit book dumb, but he had passion in "non-masculine" hobbies like ballet and that he was actually a bit of a softie in private. His parents loved him, so he's not your conventional bully in that he was just looking for some kind of attention when he got plenty of it at home. Think he was just being caught up in the wrong crowd and Arthur and friends including him in their circle whenever he wanted probably helped him from becoming an actual punk.

Honestly, it would've been rather disingenuous to gay up or "trans" Binky just because of that. It was already pushing it with making Ratburn canonically gay just because of some of the stereotypes fans were pigeon-holing him in, I just want to enjoy the eccentric teacher who gets so excited over cake without having to think about what he stuffs in his holes in private. *sigh*

Apparently, Caroline Ellison, Sam Bankman-Fried’s co-worker, was on Arthur’s “A Word From Us Kids” segment in 2003. (Archive)

When I was a kid I always did think that Binky didn't fit in with the rest of the "tough customers" clique. Something about him just made it seem like he was different and didn't fit in, but canonically I think the writers wanted to make it appear like he was their leader to some degree. Though his association with them was only in the earlier seasons as he started to become more of a main stay in Arthur's friend group later on.

They have ruined men with eccentric hobbies. ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS PLAY WITH PUPPETS DAMNIT.

I mean virtual stuff was a pretty common prediction back then. We're still waiting for flying cars and teleportation. And those floating computer screen things.
I mean back in the 1850s-2000s, there's always been a prediction of the future in most fictional works

I know there was already an episode about false information on the internet, but I wish there was an episode where Buster becomes redpilled on the Arthur universe version of /pol/ and starts telling the other kids about it.

[Title card sequence] Muffy's voice: "Buster gets redpilled"

"Hey, Arthur I found this really cool website about all the stuff the government doesn't want you to know"

That's not weird at all, no siree.

Also Flanderization much? Mr. Ratburn was once rumored to be the boogeyman of fourth grade, he was tougher than nails (and would eat them for breakfast) and stricter than a prosecutor. He was very serious about his profession and ensured his students would get a good education and discipline, he was very respected for that. No fucking way would he ever think of his students as "family", that's more like what Principal Haney would've done, as he's screams "pushover".
In the later seasons, the writers would write episodes which would completely derail the characters. One of the many examples was the episode “So Funny I Forgot To Laugh”. Here is a video about the episode:

Started watching this with my kids (2/3) and it's far more enjoyable as a show then I was expecting. Not going to pretend that it has adult jokes to entertain adults but it's overall good decent fun.

What's a good stopping (if any) to cut it off so as not to poz my kids with woke garbage?

In my opinion when they start switching over to the uglier flash animation. You'll notice how the characters look more awkward when they move around.
