I liked this depiction of them grown up better, where everyone is infinitely more chad.
I like how Arthur's wearing a bona fide CWC shirt. He's even got a little yellow patch like a Sonichu medallion.

I haven’t watched Arthur in like 15 years too I forgot it was still going tbh, the animation and voices is so fucking bad

Necro:

I remember playing games on the Arthur page of the PBS website and there was a game called "Groovy Garden". It was a game about eco-friendliness, and the player was given a question and two multiple choice answers, and had to choose the most eco-friendly answer to win. One of the answers was: "If you are stuck in traffic, what is the most ecofriendly option? A) Keep the engine running, or B) turn the engine off." You'll never guess which one was the "greener" option. And I can't help but think about how dangerous doing that is. But looking back, a lot of children's shows in the 2000's were pushing leftist movements such as environmentalism and multiculturalism onto their impressionable young audiences. It was a sign of things to come.

Really was, we see the affects of that now.

I remember that game too. Tbh all the Arthur episodes after they started animating with flash are shit. That's when I noticed them starting to ramp up the amount of leftist talking points they were teaching kids.

My favorite Arthur episode was the one where Arthur gets a new piano teacher. That lesson is one I feel a lot of kids need to receive today. When I was a kid I thought the teacher was being a jerk for refusing to teach Arthur anymore, but as I grew older I realized the moral was that Arthur wasn't respecting the teachers time by half assing his learning. It wasn't that he was bad at playing piano, but the fact he didn't put any real effort into it.

I can’t unsee how bad Arthur looks in flash animation. I know everyone hates on flash, but a hand drawn show like Arthur especially can’t pull off flash.

At least he gets punished for acting bad. You never see DW getting the same punishment.

I have the answer; faggots took over.
Yes, but when did that happen, exactly? It was clearly sometime after they went completely digital, but I can't quite put my finger on the "when". I noticed there was a change after the 9/11 episode, but I have to remember when the Mr. Rogers episode was. But I dunno, I outgrew Arthur before I ever thought about "Huh, what was the cause of decline in quality?" so I can't think of any potential candidates.

Marc Brown I don't think was involved with the show past the first season, but if he was around for a time, perhaps it was after he stopped being a creative consultant.

Thank goodness I watched PBS in the 80's that opened my mind up to thinking of important matters like tine travel...

The Mr. Rogers episode was fairly early on in the show's run back in the 90's, IIRC.

Kids don't drive cars, though...and I've never been in a traffic situation (barring slow, long trains) that didn't where there was enough inactivity that I could turn off the engine.

I'm sure there's some kid out there who bothers their parents into doing something because "Arthur said it". If I was a parent Lord knows I would get annoyed.

Children using "applied knowledge" is what TV does best.

That gay marriage episode pissed me off. Not because they made Ratburn gay, that's something the fandom had suspected for years, but because it was so rushed and underdeveloped. The kids don't have any thoughts or opinions on it, and they guy Ratburn married just came out of nowhere and I don't think he ever appeared again. Usually the show was good about dodging the whole "This is so totally normal so no one bats an eye" attitude that I hate.
