Are urban exploration videos fake

I've recently started watching urban exploration videos and it seems strange that the explorers seem to find pictures of the people who used to live there in every room.i have framed family photos and a photo album but I don't have loose photos laying around. Also it seems strange that people break in and steal the copper pipes but not the $5000 leather couch or the jewelry or art work.

I really wanted to see more investigation of that one extremely haunted japanese home that had a bunch of people die of unexplainable circumstances and for a long time afterward, still had a bunch of their personal items just left behind because they couldn't get anyone to buy the property or something. I remember reading that the house had remained somewhat furnished for at least a few years, though by now surely that house has been demolished...apparently nobody even dared to break into it. One guy tried to stay there overnight and filmed some creepy footage in the home.

I have seen thousands of ghost videos, pictures, etc. I do not believe in ghosts. But that one house, that one I think something very strange is happening there. I can't explain it. I watched some of the videos of it and something about it just sits very, very bad with me about that place.

I will see if I can find the videos and edit this later to link them if I can.

I'd guess most of those videos are fake. I have explored a whole bunch of housing that was on land being leased by the natives. The natives decided to kick everyone out and put fences around the entire area. They left the houses standing for years before they tore them down. There was a lot of families in those houses. It was mostly families with kids in them. We found all kinds of stuff left in the houses. Nothing worth keeping or anything but there were pictures and trinkets and other random shit. It was more fun just exploring the houses.

We then ended up getting hammered and having a big bonfire on the beach. I ended up arguing with some random Karen who appeared, who was unimpressed with the whole bonfire situation, about the necessity of having a smaller secondary cooking fire due to the immense size of the bonfire. She was pretty upset about my explanation. Then I showed her my forest firefighting ticket and she just didn't know what to say. We weren't technically breaking any rules. She just left all flustered and we continued enjoying our bonfire and cooking smokies.

I guess it depends on what type you mean.

There are obviously times it's real, like I know that Wendigoon walked around an old abandoned nuclear power plant, or that Dan Bell dude who goes around dead malls and other abandoned structures; I'd consider that urban exploration, but they aren't like...finding treasures. They're just walking around. The most they find is rubble and graffiti.

On the other hand if these channels are supposedly finding all kinds of cool, theatrical stuff then no that's not how reality works.

The average ADHD riddled YT audience is used to the creepypasta version of urban exploration, so they probably wouldn't appreciate the real thing.

Probably, though I've always kinda wanted to do a little urban exploration. It's some kind of mood walking through empty old buldings cloaked with graffiti and filled with a litter or forgotten belongings. Though the possibility of encountering (and potential liability of having to ventilate) a crack head kinda kills the desire to do so.

fuck I can't find the video. it was pretty obscure I guess. The only "haunted house" I have ever seen that gave me the willies. anyway I just came back to the thread to rant about how chock full of 100% complete waste of oxygen content creators youtube is when it comes to "scary" content. I must have scrolled past a thousand videos that had some stupid looking faggot making a gay reaction face in the thumbnail with a bunch of red arrows and circles everywhere and very obviously photoshopped in ghosts and clowns and shit from popular films...fuckin makes me SICK! go away zoomers!

It's like "vandals came in to steal the ceiling fan and copper pipes but they didn't take any of the vhs tapes, tvs, computers, jewelry, clothes, antiques etc." The thieves also leave family photos in every room because that's normal I guess. Oh my gosh! A diamond necklace! Yes. Because a thief would rip up the walls to steal the copper pipes and not steal the diamonds setting on the table. Makes perfect sense. Maybe a squatter is in here. Nope. No homeless people live in this fully furnished mansion that has free power and like $20k worth of antiques. You could probably ransacke Ronny Ralph's Crack shack and get a couple hundred out of it. He did have like 42 box fans in there.

Was it the house where buyers would flee after 7 days or something like that? I think I saw that as part of a compilation, I'll check tomorrow.

I saw a female explorer long ago whose never had "haunted" material but in one house she went to open a pantry door and it slammed shut on her like someone was on the other side. Can't find it for the life of me now; another was a group of dudes that recorded the faint sound of kids playing as they were outside of one old, isolated place, again with no other vids that even hinted at paranormal shit.

I've lost interest over the years because I used to do it IRL long ago, and nowadays everything seems so fake, just to grow an audience. Would be cool to discover smaller channels that just do real urbex.

Might as well recommend some "real" exploration videos. If you think something's off then your intuition is probably right.

DyingLlama is an adrenaline junkie who climbs construction sites and runs from the police.

There's also Vagrant Holiday who just walks around abandoned places or outside tourist zones, sleeps like a homeless man to save money.

I just think it's staged because they are like "vandals stole all the plumbing, hey look at the millions of dollars of artwork on the walls." Also how does all the paint just come off the walls. My grandparents lived in a house for like 60 years and never had to paint the walls. I've been 100 year old houses where they didn't paint the walls and the floors didn't cave in. Your telling me a mansion was built worse than a farmhouse?

Actually. No. You see, aliens capture these families and transports them to CIA torture outposts where human experimentation is performed and then they conveniently ransack the house. And then they leave the house behind with open doors. That's when you know the abandoned house is a house where one man once lived becomes the victim of some of the worst tortures known to man. Once dead, they're all turned into Lampshades and Bars of soap.

But really, a lot of those videos are fake.

I also made an Urban Exploration video of an abandoned barn close to my neighborhood which is actually authentic.

Also, there's a lot of Urban Exploration channels that apparently somehow manage to find a "dead body" in every single one of them.

Some are, some aren't. The more rural the location, the more likely they are to be legitimate. Nothing lasts untouched in urban areas, but in rural areas with few people and typical rural decay? Anything goes in those situations.

I have personally seen rural houses left abandoned with everything in them. Grandma dies and no one cares enough to clean up the house, the family stops paying taxes, the county takes possession, and the house falls down slowly.

Yah, they kept the house warm and the humidity relatively controlled. Houses decay really fast when exposed to the elements or left unmanaged.

Also consider a lot of buildings are painted improperly in the first place.

I know some are real but who leaves like 20 photos on a table? in every room too. Like maybe hang a few pictures up but why put like 20 pictures on your desk in every room that shit is fake as fuck

My grandparents have lived in a farm house since like 1945 and the paint hasn't peeled off and the floor hasn't caved in. That's what makes me think these videos are fake
