In my post, I meant "Is getting trapped by a trap gay?" not "Is seeking out traps knowing they are men gay?"

In the strictest sense, no, but as someone else said, it's not the norm for someone to truly pass in person. In any case, here's my thought on sexual orientation: It's basically about attraction to a certain ideal/platonic phenotype.

Consider that people get off to all kinds of things that aren't literally humans: cartoons, generative AI, sex dolls, etc. You're not silicon-sexual or pixel-sexual for doing that. It's because you're seeing the phenotype you like represented.

That is, if you're a heterosexual man, you're seeing the narrow waist, the wide hips, the breasts, etc. that define your mental phenotype of a woman pretty accurately instantiated in the digital representation or physical item.

Point being, if you were attracted to someone who checked those boxes and ended up making out with them in a club, it could turn out to be a trap and a homosexual encounter, but not due to you having homosexual attraction.

Traps don't exist. The pictures online are manipulated and they never will look as good as the picture. You look at someone like Brianna Wu who is one of the better looking transgenders (I use that term loosely) but when you see anything other than stills, "she" looks like a cryptid.

Drawn pictures don't count, because it's literally "draw a girl, call it a boy" whether there's a penis or not.
