Are there only consequences for fedposting when you target politicians?

I noticed whenever someone posts on a site they're going to shoot and kill someone in the government the FBI responds immediately. And we got it easy here in America, they usually just come and ask questions, in Europe you aren't given a right to explain it was a joke and are immediately detained and imprisoned.

However, whenever you are talking about going to kill someone who isn't a politician they don't seem to care. Like the Buffalo shooting where they knew what the furry was doing but let the guy shoot people anyway, most likely because dead black people lead to more black people being distressed and voting democrats to get rid of le omnipresent racism which they so promise to rid off, so why stop these extremists.

I'm also pretty sure I told @A truthteller 2 years ago that I was gonna go to his doxed location and strangle him to death, but the feds don't seem to care since he is not a politician.

Is fedposting really only an issue if you target people in the government?

I guess it mostly depends on the number of people reporting it, and how much coverage it is likely to get

If I threaten to kill some nobody on twitter, it's probably not serious or worth investigating. And it will bring no clout on the PD, or be used by anybody for PR. Moreover, it happens so many times a day, it would just tie up way too much ressources.

Now, if you threaten a political figure, they will immediately demand that an investigation be launched and will start to pretend that the navy seal copypasta is just evidence of further harassment. If the authorities were not to follow through, they just know it would be used against them in the court of public opinion, so they don't have much of a choice but to help.

Depends if you're a troon, they can threaten violence to anyone and anything and have it excused as "muh defensive reaction to twanzphobia". Though anyone can claim to be a troon these days, so I say put some bullshit pronouns in your profile before you start fedposting.
